Deconditioning break after Newbie Routine?

Deconditioning break after Newbie Routine?

Hey First post here, long time lingerer! So I’m looking for some advice, ideally from veterans but anything helps.. I’ll try and make this short. I’ve restarted PE almost 4 months ago( my first stint didn’t last more than 4 months and I kept no gains) and began with the newbie routine in addition to some more advanced techniques ( manual clamping). I know that s not ideal, I was just starting back based off techniques I remembered. However I did also do basically the normal newbie routine in addition to these. The advanced techniques weren’t really done for more than the first 6 weeks probably. This is where I saw my gains only gains so far. About 0.5 inches of BPFSL (hopefully BPEL will follow!) and a tiny bit in girth, which has gone away after I stopped manual clamping and continued only with jelqing. I can’t be sure I have experienced “premature toughening” but I understand that is a possibility..

Anyways.. I have a very busy month of March coming up with lots of travelling etc.. Would it be wise for me to take the entire month off as a deconditioning break then restart the newbie routine in April? Or should I just do what I can when I can as to not lose my length gains?
Thanks!

You might lose some gains but the de con will help trick your penis into not getting used to the routine therefore more gains will come. I don’t personally take such long breaks but I’m not as consistent as I used to be.

I’ve noticed my penis gets used to routines and this slows down gains.

@TheTerrible thanks dude, what would you suggest would be a reasonable mount of time for the decon break then? Also, can you do a decon for just girth as in continuing stretching but not doing any girth work?

A month should do wonders for your tissues. I’ve taken a week off before and I noticed an improvement in how well my penis expanded during workouts after the week off.

Also, I had planned to take a 1 month decon and took regular measurements to see when I would start to lose my gains. I didn’t lose any girth until around week 3 if that helps at all.

Toughening of tissues is definitely a possibility and one I’m trying to avoid also but I think that toughening is also a part of conditioning occuring, which you do want if you plan to move on to more advanced exercises.

I’m learning that as gentle as I can be while jelqing, the tissues will toughen over time. No matter what.

There has to be some sort of progression over time but I think the trick is not rushing your progression so fast that you over condition your tissues. Milk those gains by only doing the minimal amount needed to get the gains.

On a side note, you didn’t mention how long you had been incorporating the manual clamping. If you did it more than a week or so and you noticed an improvement in your girth, I would continue to do that as your penis was responding well to it. I only say a week or so because with most common PE workout schedules, if you were doing too much work with the manual clamping, cumulative fatigue would probably show itself with a drop in EQ and a possible loss in size compared to the improvements you observed.

Everyone is different but if you’re not seeing an improvement in girth from jelqing for 4 months, I would definitely check your jelqing technique. I’m not saying you’re doing it wrong or anything like that. You might be doing them perfectly fine and just have a penis that’s tougher to squeeze girth gains out of but a flaw in your jelqing technique is definitely a possibility. For 4 months of jelqing I would almost expect 1/16” at least in your girth circumference.

I’ve been doing PE off and on since 2017 and I feel like I’m still perfecting my technique by making small adjustments

Oh yeah, I forgot. As long as your not doing bundled stretches or fulcrum stretches, both of which can affect girth, you should be ok.

I think most will say just leave your dick alone besides masturbation and or sex during decons but IMO, basic stretching shouldn’t interfere with a girth decon

Thanks for your input bro. Super helpful. I mentioned I was doing it for the first probably 6 or 7 weeks until I read on thunders how that wasn’t recommended during the newbie and stopped shortly thereafter. And yeah ill probably just take the month off also since I’ve been chaeffing like crazy from jelqing and even stretching (that’s a whole separate post). I’m almost certain my jelq technique is pretty good, but obviously thats just my opinion. I gained a little in girth, then lost most all of it.. Its quite possible I have kept 1/16th of an inch although that would be hard for me to tell when measuring.

You’re welcome bro! I’m happy to share my opinion and I only want to help my fellow PE-ers whenever I can.

I’m by no means a true veteran but I do have a fair bit of experience under my belt.
Honestly, alot of that experience was finding out what doesn’t work for me in the long run.

I hope my comment about your jelqing technique wasn’t perceived negatively. You’re probably doing fine jelqing, I just thought I’d mention any and all possibilities that come to mind.

My suggestion is after your decon, keep your routine simple and watch your PI’s for a few months. If you see no gains after a few months, You should be plenty conditioned to start slowly ramping up your volume, or intensity.

Even keeping jelqing intensity and volume the same and then slowly adding more advanced exercises could be a positive move.

Adding more reps or more time, depending on how you track your workout volume, is always recommended over upping your intensity.

Higher intensity will condition and toughen your tissues alot faster than adding more volume to your workouts.

Anyway, whatever you choose to do, best of luck man!

About your chaffing, are you wet jelqing or dry jelqing?

@Alterdst8 sweet dude, thanks for the update what to do when I return as I was unsure if I should just continue w the newbie routine or not! No worries at all w your comment. Nothing negative perceived.. And the chaeffing, dude its turned into basically half my shaft peeling, which is super fucking lame. I wet jelq. It started w some cracking on the underside at the base which was annoying and painful, and I figured that was just from friction, but now the entire area below my head has just started to flake and peel. I’ve been putting vitamin E and moisturizer on it and decreasing my workout by more than half, but its still happening. I figure it should heal while I’m out of town for 10 days, but I’d love to know the reasoning for it so I can prevent it in the future.
