Newbie routine injury - numb dick

Hey, just hoping I can get some peace of mind about this.

I’m 19 and I just started doing the newbie routine. I’m doing 2 on 1 off and yesterday was my first off day. I was kind of just edging casually last night as I was watching a movie when my dick went numb. It didn’t just suddenly go limp while I was stroking it. It was completely fine then I stopped for a while and when I tried to edge a lil more a bit later I simply couldn’t get any sort of erection, it was completely numb.

I noticed that kegeling felt really weak and when I went to piss I tried to stop my urine stream and instead of instantly stopping it kind of tapered off, so I’m thinking that this is connected to whatever muscle you use to kegel with. I went to bed and it does feel slightly better this morning. No crazy morning wood like I usually have but a very mild erection that didn’t last long. Kegeling still feels pretty weak.

Since it felt a little better today I’m hoping that just rest and not touching my dick will heal it and restore it back to normal. I’m 19 and in great health, no diseases or anything. When I did the newbie routine on my second day I lost track of time and jelqed for about 20 minutes instead of the 10 I did on the first day. Could that be what caused this?

I obviously don’t wanna go see a doctor if I don’t have to but I want my dick to be back to normal obviously. Hoping others have some advice or experience maybe with this. Thanks

Over-training is a big no-no in the beginning. While the enthusiasm is high, and trust, I did the same exact thing when getting started, slow and steady wins the race (You know, the turtle and the rabbit story?).

That being said, you went a little too hard too soon. I would suggest taking some time off until you feel normal again, ESPECIALLY since you’re brand new to the game. This is the best time for you to do things the right way. I say that because I’m starting over with a decade of bad training.

P.S. The best way to stunt your growth, is with over-conditioning in the beginning. Again, learned that the hard way.


Without proper EQ, there are no gains: Warning! If you haven't gotten improved erections.

If the building is starting to fail, check the foundation: Newbie Routine. Just try to be 1% better than what you were the day before; that's all that matters.

Take two weeks off with no PE or masturbation and report back. In the meantime get out and excercise or read a great book.

Thanks for the responses and advice. In reflecting on it, I realized it was probably caused by jelqing with too tight of a grip with too hard of an erection. Was also using an overhand grip and stroking mainly the upper shaft around the glans while edging, which is around where a lot of the sensitive nerves are I’ve learned.

Won’t be masturbating or touching my dick at all for a few weeks. When the feeling and erections come back I’ll wait a little longer before starting the newbie routine again and will make sure I dedicate more time to warming up and being more gentle in jelqing.
