Shaving balls-cock tips

Hello everybody. Anybody care to share some tips/products they use/recommend for smooth balls, and base of penis? I have been shaving for some time but always have issues with ingrown hairs, hair that grows flat into the skin, painful pimples or whatever they are, etc. I like to shave my balls and the base of the penis only. I do not like to shave everything as that just doesn’t work for me as my skin becomes rather irritated when I do that and I don’t even like the look. I do love the shaved balls and penis base. Any products you recommend to help smooth the hair after shaving so that as you shave in the future it helps avoid ingrown hairs, it’s easier to shave the hair and perhaps slows hair growth. Right now I use a shave oil with a razor. Looking for ways to soften the skin and hair and have a better shaving experience. Please share your secrets. Love going to the nude beach but after shaving or when I go in the water the balls just shrink and look rather ugly. I have nice big balls and would be nice to keep them big or at least round and smooth at all times just like they are during the day in the pants :) Thank you.

I just use facial moisturiser on mine after shaving.

I prefer to use an old fashioned double edged razor, as it doesn’t clog with hairs, and surprisingly I’ve found that using it dry, without any shaving creams or foams seems to work best!

I find that when I get “greedy” is when the problem occurs. Try not to beat it up and get too aggressive. And like FG said, use plenty of moisturizing cream or gel while shaving.

I used to trim everything, but when I changed my old trimmer for a new model I had to stop trimming the balls because the new one catches some skin causing small cuts. It hurts and bleeds.

Now I just trim around the penis and use hair removing cream (like Nair) on the balls. Never shaved.

I have tried all kinds of creams but I wish I could find something specifically that would smooth hairs over time and possibly slow hair growth. I would not mind spending a little to get something that works.

I have been trying all sorts of stuff and nothing seems to work very well for me. I’m uncut, have big balls and lots of skin. And for whatever reason I get ingrown hairs very easily which really sucks. I have tried dry shaving the balls and for that area I think it’s ok but doesn’t work as well for other areas. I just found this Nair like product on Amazon that has good reviews and is specifically made for men and for the balls. God send? I don’t know but I may try it and report back. My only concern with using something like that is shaping. I only want to shave balls and base of cock not really much more than that. I do not like to shave everything because my skin is super sensitive and besides I think it looks retarded.

Electric trimmers don’t work for me down there, I only use that to trim chest area.

Edge shaving gel works great for shaving. It lubricates everything extremely well. Afterwards, use an astringent if you can handle the alcohol content in it. It will sting / burn for a bit but it helps keep the pores clean to minimize ingrown hairs. Also, have you tried wearing looser undergarments? Less rubbing down there.

I shave everything by just soaping up in the shower and using a Gillette Mach 3 razor. I shave every 4 days or so, but everyday after my shower I use medicated powder like Gold Bond, but I use a less expensive Walmart generic medicated powder. I can’t say for sure that the medicated powder helps with the ingrown hairs, but I never get any. For sure, it does keep you dry and comfortable.

At the base, shaft and the area between anus and balls I use an at-home IPL device. Stings like a m-f on the shaft but I only have to use it every other month. On the balls I just use a razor with cream.

I’ve done the shaving route, but honestly the second-day itch drives me nuts (haha pun unintended - came out naturally). So when I hear people talking about shaving, I rarely hear anyone talking about this aspect and it gets me wondering. As in, what am I missing out on that they are doing?

Haven’t you read the above posts? They are telling you exactly what we are doing. I don’t have an itch problem.

It’s the lack of commitment as well. If you only do it occasionally you never let the skin adapt. And you’re missing out on nut licking, lots of it.

I found the itch wore off after less than a week. No I never have an itch and use lotion after every shower. The issue of ingrown hairs went away with consistent shaving.

I learned early on while dating my wife that if I want my balls licked and sucked I had to keep them hair free. It’s on of my favorite things to experience.

I use an electric shaver. Dust with corn starch, which acts as a dry lubricant, then use a trimmer of some kind to get the hair down to stubble length, then finish with a plain old micro-screen shaver. If you keep up with it every day or every other day, you can usually skip the trimmer step. And there is a shaver specifically designed for this known as the ES412 Cleancut, available for $45 on Beavershaver.com and on Amazon. It uses a C cell and is slower than a regular electric shaver, but shaves very close. The key to success with this method is the cornstarch. Not talc. Cornstarch. No nicks, scrapes or burns.

Good comments. I have been shaving and trimming since long before it was fashionable, and shaving daily or nearly so along with lotion of some sort to prevent in-growth and irritation is key to success. Shave balls and cock, trim pubic area close and keep it that way; no itch, no rash, lots of attention to the man-parts.
