The only thing that doesn't slide off my unit

Hi guys iv tried to build a captains wench but it won’t grip enough and iv no money for a bib but I wrapped my unit and put to small cable clamps on,1 just before head and 1 mid shaft and it really grips the shaft.If it’s OK ill sew on some straps so I can apply weights!

Questions=

1.is it OK to grip before head.

2.is it OK to just ware cable clamps over wrap.

If you don’t have gripper pads or similar to spread the load you may end up causing damage using the clamps. Be careful.

Chickenchoker has a neat contraption with pads attached directly to the clamps, check that out.

Hey roccos, I have heard some guys using clamps for ADS and such. Can’t remember where for the life of me. You may want to try the search button. Gripping just before the glans is fine. Like mgus said you might want to try some padding if you will be hanging from them

Not sure, I only clamp (squeeze) manually.
