Thoughts on my newbie 'routine'?

I have a 20-30 degree bend (probably closer to 20) in my penis when erect, and my goal is to straighten it out while hopefully gaining .5-1 inches over town. I’d like more girth, but am terrified of jelqing due to injuries, and extenders are the only risk free scientifically tested device. So, I wanted to extend the principles of using the safest techniques, with moderate use of an extender, to first correct the curve and improve length. Once this has been achieved (I’m thinking 1-2 years), I want to then VERY GRADUALLY experiment with other techniques, including jelqing, but being EXTREMELY careful. I likely won’t gain anything since I’ll be too soft, but I’d rather not risk injury.
So, here’s what I’m thinking. Using an extender 2-8 hours per day (my schedule doesn’t allow much more, 8 on the weekends, and maybe 2-5 on weekdays at best). In the morning, do a light stretching routine in 4 directions. Then, head to work, come home, make sure my room is warm, then put on the extender. Now I have a 10+ year old leluv extender that was extremely cheap, however, it seems to work okay. The only problem is you have to screw the rods out, so I’m never sure how far too go. I find if I stretch far it tends to result in lower temperature on the head, so I can’t wear it for more than 45 minutes or so. On a lighter stretch, I can easily wear it for 2 hours. So I’m still figuring that part out. Any thoughts?
