Animal experiments

Thanks for brainstorming with me guys. Pitface, I think your idea is a good one. You dutch folks have some really progressive ideas. Unfortunately I don’t know if this would be allowed in America. It would seem to me to be a win win situation though. If anyone took the initiative to do this, I would provide a lot of help.

chas, I think the cow idea is good too. Now they use mechanical milking machines. You could ask the farmer to vary the amount of time each cow spends in the machine and hask him to use rice socks. You could also very the pressure the machines exert on the machines and vary the number of rest days etc. Unfortunately it souds like a lot of work spearheading this project also, but if anyone wanted to spearhead it, I would go along with it.

Hmmmm, cow milking machines for PE. Now there’s an interesting idea!

Developing hypotheses:

effects of temperature during workout - how important is heat.
effects of return to flaccid under various temperatures - what is the best cool down procedure.
effects of changing load vs time during workouts - set durations, cyclic stretching, rest between sets.
effects of varying maximum tensile forces - is their a certain tensile load where gains begin or does it vary gradually with load.
effects of rest duration between workouts.
effects of supposed colagen toughing - plateus - and how to overcome them.

In each experiment I conduct I will be dissecting to determine:

Molecular structure changes of elongated collagen vs normal collagen.
Structural changes of other internal tissues.
Evidence of microtears.

I think chas was joking.. please let him be joking.. jelqing cows?

Tube, why do you need to dissect? If gains occur, isn’t that enough to (dis)prove the theory?

I’d just like to see the look on the farmer’s face.

I want to dissect to see the alterations in the collagen structure on macroscopic and microscopic scales.

The experimental timeline is being setup. The first step will be to become a worm farmer, learning how to keep the little guys happy in indoor bins. I may even get my hands dirtty with some “Vermiculture” - harvesting worm casting (worm poop) for compost.

I’m also working on schematics for my worm stretcher devices (aka worm racks).
