Maybe: Better than a rubber band would be the old radiator hose clamp bought at any auto parts store. Just wrap well and have a screw driver ready to get out of it quick if needs be.

Just wondering what you think of staying erect in the clamp?

My routine at the moment is get fully erect, clamp down and keep it stimulated (Rock hard) for ten minutes x 2 a day.

Do you think that by clamping , and then letting the erection go soft, that faster gains are possible?

Girtha, your gains are awesome and I never thought that to be possible with clamping alone.

I already went to Walmart and got my supplies.

Do you ever clamp around the penis and balls, or just around the shaft? Always low on the base, or move it up sometimes?

I do more pumping than clamping these days. But I’ve exclusively used a hose clamp. For those who have used both, why is the cable clamp preferable?

When I did more clamping, discoloration was an issue, but now that I’m doing less (maybe the pumping has helped too) my normal color has returned. But I have found with the hose clamp that it does allow some return of blood and that as the erection subsides its effectiveness diminishes. Is the cable clamp better at trapping blood?

Welcome aboard: Stick with the newbie routine, plenty of time for aggressive girth work later down the road. Get all you can from manual PE, work length first. All the jelqing will toughen you up for the more intense stuff later.

Staying erect in the clamp is great, if you can do it. Some of us older guys have some problems with that, and the good thing about clamping is once you are pumped up the erection can subside and the clamped engorgement will still swell and be effective. However, like with pumping or any girth exercises, maintaining an erection will be more effective because you are stretching the CC with blood rather than just stretching the skin with lymphatic fluid. If you are a young guy who can stay hard during the entire session, more power to you. But after several X-Ulis even the young might find it hard to maintain wood. Either way, clamping works

I never clamp around the scrotum, but have heard some say they do. Always clamp at the base as close to the body as possible. Clamping mid-shaft or close to the head will give you the baseball effect.

Also: As far as picking up supplies at Walmarts. My Walmarts, the one in Las Colinas Texas has for some reason stopped caring the TheraP wrap. In fact I haven’t been able to find it in any Walmarts in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. If any of you Texans out there know where they can be purchased please chime in.

For anyone who can’t find the wrap, I have found a pretty good alternative. Most mouse pads are made of neoprene. Soft rubber on the no slip side and soft on the mousy side. Cut a two inch wide strip down the middle and you have a pretty good wrap for the clamps, only no Velcro fastener.

No, man. Hose clamps are the old school. If you live in the UK or if it is all you can get they will work. I mean they worked for Bib and Uli himself, but the CableClamps are MUCH better. First off, as I said in the beginning of this thread the shape is perfect, second they are quick release. With the conventional hose clamp you need a screw driver. Man you need to be able to get out of this thing in a hurry.

You know, Thunders should be getting a big donation from the CableClamp company. I bet they’ve sold thousands of clamps thanks to this forum. Hell, I’ve probably gone through a hundred or more myself. If they only knew how perfect these things are for PE they could make a special clamp with a soft gel padding inside.

I think Monkeybar has come close.

I actually have one of the plastic clamps. It has a manual screw cap on the top. There was a post on where to get them about 18 months ago (some camping/RV supply site) More user friendly than those metal clamps for sure, though I wonder if there are as effective as the cable clamp.

Are you saying that there is a benifit to clamping even if you are flacid? You mentioned putting on the clamp in the bathroom at work and going about your business (was that you?) Do you do this, and you feel you have gains from it? I always imagined the benefit of clamping is the intense pressure in your unit while erect. If you are flacid, there is no pressure, so I don’t see how it could help.

So from reading this, I don’t need to keep stimulating myself and maintain a hard-on while clamped.
That’s good.
But if I want to can I keep hard anyway?

As can be seen from the extreme uli videotutorial I use a hoseclamp at the base. From experience I can tell you a hoseclamp does not stay round while tightening. The more you tighten it the more oval it gets putting more pressure on the sides. It’s not a perfect oval but good enough to not make me go numb.

When using a hoseclamp don’t use a screwdriver, sooner or later you will hit your shaft and it will not be pleasant. The right tool for tightening a hoseclamp is the nutdriver.

I do sometimes use a cableclamp for clamping because it takes less time to start and finish a session but I favour the hoseclamp because it’s so much more intense. If you have had some experience with cableclamps and you’re not gaining anymore give hoseclamps a chance :)

One more question..

Do I really need to use 3 clamps?

Isn’t one enough maybe 2?
