Deconditioning (decon) Breaks: How and Why?

1. What is a decon break?

A decon break is…stopping all PE for an extended period to make your dick easier to stretch and work with in the future. It isn’t a short rest period. It is a long rest to let your dick become less resistant to PE.

Some people think a decon break is a good idea. Others think it is stupid. What do you think? We don’t have medical studies published in fancy doctor journals to answer this question. Want to call a doctor on TV and ask him? They will laugh at you and hang up. (And I didn’t even try to call Dr. Oz to get his okay *laughs*)…I can’t verify any of it. However, personal experience and listening to others (plus a lot of common sense, really) helped me form my opinion.

For me, it’s the best weapon I’ve found in my PE arsenal. I honestly have no idea how people use heavy daily routines to gain and still live their lives; truthfully it scares me.

1b. How does a decon break help me in my PE journey?

First, I think that no matter what PE discipline you follow…you will toughen the penis on the journey to get gains. The effect of toughening the penis basically slows and eventually stops gains. Your penis does not like being tugged or inflated or anything else you think of so gains get slower and slower as you go along. A tough penis needs time to decondition and become more pliable and cooperative so stretching gets easier again.

Second, healing and recovery is important. Over time you build up irritations, small injuries and aches that need time for full recovery. Rest days during the week help but truly complete recovery is going to need more consecutive days off to be thorough and proper. Personally, the first few weeks back into PE from a long break seems most productive in my opinion. It’s one of the reasons I advocate a long break once in a while.

Finally, in my own experience and in that of many others…your best gains are made on days off. (Pretty crazy, eh?) Healing brings renewed, mended and bigger tissues. Working constantly doesn’t do anything but break the penis down and eventually force it to retreat and retract. The balance of productive PE (work) and time off (rest) is imperative just like it is for exercise in a gym and fitness setting. A deconditioning break allows you to rest to your fullest extent and start your work cycle again fresh. A very productive way to stay safe and on the gaining side of the equation.

When you decondition try restarting a hobby of yours that you like and have not done in a while. That way you don’t slip back into PE too soon and make sure you have a complete deconditioning break. That is what I do. So fire up the saw in the garage, work on your project car, get back into shape and break dancing…or sit out on the back porch smoking cigars more. *shrugs* Do you more, including the stuff you forgot you used to do. It’s good for you, even if your hobby isn’t.

In closing…

Deconditioning is a simple way to keep your routine fresh, stay motivated and remain injury free. The fact is that gains eventually stall for everyone and when you’re at your wits end…maybe you’re ready for a decon break. It’s as simple as that. Plus, it gives you more spare time to get more things done or have more fun.

My Extender and forward to 10" and balls enhancement project. There is no "Holy Grail" of Penis Enlargement. Only time and effort works. I'm *10* years in and counting. All you have to do is put the work in and keep the faith.

I’m about half way done my Decon, when I reach the 2 month mark: can I start hanging at 2.5 as shown in Hanging 101 and work my way up?

Either 6 weeks on and 1 week off, or the 2/1 split as a continued de-conditioning.

After your decon you’ll have to reassess your PE approach on your terms. Either approach can work, you’ll need to test and decide on what you prefer.

I’m just coming off a long decon break, it will be my last I think. PE is a big part of my routine and I am a big creature of habit. Dropping PE lead to me getting sloppy in the rest of my routine and my diet and exercise followed. At the end of the day it was just a lack of discipline but I will not slip like this again, I’m reestablishing my routine and plan to be stronger, leaner, and bigger than ever. Recovery is super important but diet and exercise handles that for me.

Your discipline is not apt to overcome efficiency of working with how our bodies are designed. But your choices are your own and I wish you well with them.

shit, your thoughts are in the same line of my thoughts, my own experience of a break, long break, 5 months. in the last cycle I gain 1.5 cm of length and 1 cm of girth, almost 4 months of work.

people don’t understand that the body isn’t linear, you can put 2x more effort but your gains can be less than you think, maybe no gains.

I should clarify my position. I am for taking breaks in the form of slightly longer rest periods of maybe 3 days. If injured laying off is the thing to do to recover, I just won’t be taking any more planned extended breaks of multiple weeks or months. Proper rest is key, but my current goals don’t really need the “reset” time the longer breaks allow. Longer breaks are great when still trying to grow and you hit a long stall, I’ve just reached a point that maintaining excellent EQ and keeping my routine is the main purpose.

I am new, and have two interesting thoughts. Apologies if I don’t realize wth I’m talking about:

1) Folks around here have a desire: after deconditioning the goal is to come out of the gates swinging hard and making substantial gains - to take advantage of the body decreasing the strength of penile structures from the decon. My 2c: What if, after you finish one of these long (2 months, say) breaks, you switch to targeting different tissues entirely? So for example, if all your stuff over the past year has been hanging SD or SO, why not go pure BTC when you finally start PE again? These tissues may still be in their “virgin state” due to having a minimum of exposure even during the past year. This might increase your confidence that structures are weak and primed for easy gains. Worst case scenario - the decon did not make structures weak, pliable, and easy to lengthen as intended.. Well at least you’re targeting new tissues that may still have easy growth in their future.

2) After starting from a decon, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t want to start hanging as aggressively as possible again. Not enough that safety is compromised, but you can’t expect that tissues are in their virgin state again. I think starting all over at 2.5-5lbs and slowly climbing up over weeks would just allow previously trained tissues to quickly revert back to their uncooperative state.

I just came off an 11 day decon while on a family vacation, after being on for a full year. I didn’t measure, but I know that I was more prone to turtling and I think my flaccids were shorter.

At any rate, it definitely feels softer and more pliable than before and has been less resistive to light stretching. I think I’ll try to do a 1 week decon every couple of months if I can remember, going forward.

If you aren’t using a blended approach that targets most penis tissue and have a method to target completely different zones…most do that as a secondary PE phase before a total decon break.

Decon break returns are unique individual things. Additionally many hardcore hangars avoid them for whatever reason.

People have to decide where to restart with any regiment. Some starting over completely still get easy gains. Some do not. A matter of finding how you restart from where you left off.

I have been on a break since September 2018. I had planned to take 6 months off no PE and no measuring. When I hit 6 months my EQ was so high and I felt like I had not lost any gains so I decided to take a whole year before getting back into it again. I may do the newbie routine for the first 2 months back before starting my clamping and pumping routine again. Is this too long of a break? Should I measure soon? Btw I only PE for girth gains. Any length is welcomed bur not a goal.
