Have you hit a PLATEAU?

Reason for Poll: With all this talk about IPR, plateaus, deconditioning breaks, penis muscle, and less really is more, I’m curious to see how many guys have hit a plateau in their PE career.

Poll Requirement: You must have PEed for at least six months.
This could be six months in a row, or six months total (in which you PEed on and off, but have at least six months of total PE experience).

Definition of Plateau (for the purposes of this poll):
you gained no more than .1 inches (2.54 mm) in a one month period.

Example of plateau: Under this definition, you could have gained one inch every month for five months, but gained only .1 inches for the six month; and the six month would be considered a plateau.

It appears I can never create an effective poll the first time… So if a moderation reads this in time, please add the word “not” in option two (between “have” and “experienced”).

Being election day I was going to ask if you were a politician until I read you’re second post.

Now I realize you you just been hit with so much political advertising that you’re automatically starting to talk and
sound like a politician. You’ll be okay in a few day. Lots of rest and drink water.

Why yes I think I have hit a major plateau. I’ve hit them before and then bounced out of it unexpectedly with a significant gain, but this current plateau has been going on to long. My personal thinking is that over condition is what leads to hitting a plateau.
Letting things rest up and then shocking it back awake is what seems to have worked for me in the past.

I just can’t seem to leave it alone that long….

You could be right! I do live, afterall, in the great state of Florida — where our recently elected Governor spent over 40 million dollars on his campaign (and I swear to you he spent every dime on my County).

RC,

It would appear you’re not alone; the results of this poll have a bigger landslide than the Arnold Schwarzenegger race. Currently:
14 people have hit a plateau
None have not
1 person just wanted to vote

I gained about 1.25” in eight months…at least that is what my ruler says. However, I have gained virtually nothing since June/July of 2006. I have taken two decon break since then and started an IPR-based routine on October 16th only to find that I can not seem to gain.

Admittedly, the IPR routine I am on is new to me and I have not given it a full 9 week cycle. However, the 3-week I-Phase is now behind me and I did not notice anything.

I am now thinking that my secondary PE theories about supplementation and high-dosages of vitamin C, and whey protein may have actually hindered my growth by strengthening the connective tissue too much.

I am now off all supplements and vitamins until Christmas to see if I can isolate their effects on my PE efforts.

Remek, you are just the guy I would like to talk about this to. What are your thoughts about vitamins and the possibility of collagen manipulation?

"Debate the idea..."

I experienced a plateau in the beginning of this year as summer was coming around. I had hit my goals for the earlier part of the year but I had stopped working out around April and that included P.E. I finally started again sometime in July, I believe. I’ve also been hearing about these deconditioning breaks but I hadn’t heard about them back then I had simply stopped P.E.ing because I had other things to worry about.

One day in July I started exercising in the mornings again and I decided to get back into P.E. so I started of making sure I could handle what I used to do building back up in about a weeks time ( I don’t recommend doing this). Afterwards I slowly began more advanced length and girth exercises which showed me how unprepared I really was; so I spent another 2 weeks to get ready for those. It was early August when I got the hang of Horse440s which I think broke my plateau.

I would like to learn more about IPR since I haven’t tried reading up on it. Time to search for more knowledge.

Short-Term Goal: 10.25" BPEL

Long-Term Goal: To Be Decided

goon, I haven’t read your IPR routine — I’ll have to look into it. Admitedly, I just came off my IPR-type routine and gained a bit — not a lot, but enough to know that I gained. I’ll be posting the results soon.

About collagen manipulation and supplements — I can’t say I know enough about the effect of certain supplements and how it effects collage, particularly collagen in our penises, to give an adequate theory… However, I will say that I personally believe whey protein and vitamin C — in moderate doses — help in one way or another. How much vitamin C and whey protein were you taking?

Yep, I hit a plateau a few months ago. Since the gains where not coming back, I decided to take a month of reconditioning (October) and just recently restarted PE.

I hit my first plateau about 3 months into my PE career. After that, I started to hang religiously. I did that for 6 months with no measurable gains. Then I took some time off, resumed manual exercises (Mem’s momentous routine), and added in some hanging with moderate weight (10-15#) using the Wenchette. When good erections came back, I saw that I had picked up another 1/4”, which over time nudged closer to 3/8 or maybe even 1/2”.

That was about 6 month ago, and my 1/2” gain is back down to about 3/8. I’m aggressively back into PE now, and hoping to see some progress soon.

Enter your measurements in the PE Database.

My newbie gains came relatively easy. My inititial hanging gains were semi-easy. I plateaued in length over a year ago. Added a little girth since then. Now I am hanging with a vengeance. My erection quality keeps improving. My wife keeps saying “You are huge”. She feels tighter. It may be that my EL during lovemaking is better than I can measure. So I have been measuring my clamped length and that has begun to edge up slightly.

Well according to your definition my whole P.E careers has been a plateau. Thank God for giving me drive.

06/29/07: (nbpel=8 1/2) (bpel=9) (mid eg=6) (base eg 6.25)

Comparison Pictures, 8in to 9in= My Comparison Pic thread.

I haven’t taken enough dc breaks to know. I have been pe’ing for years, but very very off and on. Just as I would notice anything, I would enhance and lose it all, become discouraged, and quit. Then I would see me little dick for months wishing I knew what to do, and I would start over but end up doing the same thing.

I stumbled on Thunders and tried again, got a little growth and instantly plateaued. This time I kept going, trying different things, for 7 months, and nothing. Took a 3 1/2 week break and started again. I got another 1/4” spurt and was so excited I kept adding things to my routine. Well I instantly plateaued and even lost a little of the gain.

I am now 4 days in my new break, and plan on it lasting 2-3 weeks. Then starting again and see if I get another spurt. If I do, I will atleast know what makes me grow. But since I’ve only payed attention to this last break, I can’t say for sure if it was what worked. But I do know to keep it lighter and a bit more simple now.

One inch per month? no one does that…
