Overtraining

Overtraining

Would a routine consisting of regular clamping and pumping be overkill for a solid girth routine? I’m pretty well conditioned, but I’ve had an extended break for the past 3 or 4 months. Now I want to really target girth as well as I can and I’m thinking about clamping for 3 or 4 sets at 10min in the late morning/early afternoon and then pumping for 2-3 sets at 5hg late at night. The sessions would most likely be separated by at least 12 hours. I’ve been slowly getting back into PEing for the past week or so, doing light pumping, ulis, and some clamping, so I would’nt be jumping right into this immediately after the break.

Start (6/23/04): 7.25 BPEL X 4.75 EG As of (7/12/05): 8.00" BPEL X 5.00" EG Midshaft (5.25 base) Short Term Goal: 8.0 BPEL X 5.25 EG Midshaft Long Term Goal : 8.5 BPEL X 6.0 EG

No

Hey hyypr,

3 to 4 months is a long lay off. Like slack suggested, work into that routine. Maybe start with 1 10 minute set of clamping and 1 or 2 sets of pumping at night, then build from there. It’s best to ease back into it so you don’t hurt yourself.

I wouldn’t even clamp or pump at all for the first week. Do an average routine consisting of stretching and jelqing. After a week, work in some light pumping. Third week, moderate pumping with some light clamping. After that you should be able to do whatever you feel is safe.

Thanks for the advice guys. I’ve been trying to ease back in to it for about two weeks now, doing dry jelqs, squeezes, and some ulis. I’ve just been judging everything by feel to not go overboard.

xlmagnum,

What routine or specific exercises do you think led to your huge girth gains?

Start (6/23/04): 7.25 BPEL X 4.75 EG As of (7/12/05): 8.00" BPEL X 5.00" EG Midshaft (5.25 base) Short Term Goal: 8.0 BPEL X 5.25 EG Midshaft Long Term Goal : 8.5 BPEL X 6.0 EG

I didn’t rush into anything, and I did all my exercises with precision and patience. Somedays it seemed like this wasn’t worth the work, but I told myself to work through it, knowing that I would have what I wanted in the end. Everyone should do the same. Most give up hope when they don’t gain 1/4” in a month or two. Over time, those miniscule gains add up to something nice.

Routine wise, I gained most of my girth from clamping and ~85% erect jelqing. I didn’t start either until I was 2-4 months into it, and still did them with extreme caution. Everyone has an equilibrium point in their workouts where they maximize their gains. Adding anything else or taking anything away would only hinder their progress. Everyone must find their own workout equilibrium.

That’s probably the best advice that there is when it comes to PE: patience. When I first started a year ago it was really easy being discouraged when I wouldn’t gain quickly, but after a few months I realized I’d already gained a good amount, and ever since then I never expect any quick results. I think the reason why I sound slightly impatient when it comes to girth is that I have a hard time gauging how well my workouts are going, so it makes me start thinking that maybe I’m not doing enough.

I find it best to keep your mind off of it. Make it apart of your daily living routine, just like breathing, eating, putting clothes on (for most of us) and going to work (once again, for most of us). Your mind can work against you and that is why you MUST take your mind off gains when you PE. That will lead to injury or overtraining which will yield you 0 in the gains department.

Take it from XLMagnum and Big Girtha: both of those guys have huge girths and huge girth GAINS (Big G. started at 4.5 and now is over 6.5!!). I don’t think, based on Girtha’s experience and my late experience, that we need rest days at all - the more clamping, the better. But, ease into it so you don’t get hurt.

I am amazed at my recent girth gains, after none AT ALL for all the other time I spent at PE. Now, in 2.5 months, 4/10 inch!!

*I measure PRE-WORKOUT, normal erection* Started: 7 EBP x 4.9 EG. Several years on and off PE, now 8.125 EBP length x 5.5 EG midshaft (5.8 base). Working on girth (clamping) again after breaks due to injuries - fast recent gains! Pics

dangleman,

Yea I’ve been trying to read up all I can from Big Girtha’s post and stick to the advice in this thread. I believe that I’m the same type of gainer as you are. I had no trouble gaining length, but no matter how many squeezes I did I barely gained any girth. Now I’m trying to follow the same kind of routine that you started to, which mainly consists of clamping under an IR lamp.

One question though, after what did you begin to see noticeable girth gains, and was this the same time you started to eliminate rest days?

dangleman,

… and how many sets per day ? Fully erect ? More tide clamped, is much better ? Did you eliminated the other exercises (ie stretch, jelq ..) ?

Thanks,
cos
