Remember that all research done on extenders is for penis enlargement, so all the results focus on size gains. In the medical community, pumping been around for a much longer time than extenders, but doctors could not really be seen to be talking about PE, so pumps (cylinders & pumps) were considered as a device for men with erectile dysfunction, in the days before Viagra and Cialis etc. were available.
Extender companies paid for research that said their products work. Pump/cylinder companies already had a big following of men who knew that pumping works, so they didn’t need to have paid-for ‘scientific’ research done.
When this forum (and all the early PE forums) started, much of the talk was hanging and pumping. Like Titleist, I’ve gained both length and girth from pumping. I have no desire to try an extender because something that requires many hours a day just wouldn’t work for me. I’m sure extenders do work, but pumping is pleasurable as well as being effective PE.
I wouldn’t want to mess about with water either; air pumping has worked for decades. Water pumping is a bit like extenders - they’ve only been around a relatively short time, and all the ‘science’ is geared toward showing they work as a PE device (and is mostly funded by manufacturers). Air cylinders, with a gauge on the pump, enable you to know exactly what you are doing to your penis. Ones that are similar in price to branded water pumps are vastly better made and will last years, plus you can use the same actual pump with multiple cylinders, so you save as your penis grows.
