Shedding the Snake: Peeling to Remove Discoloration

Calm down. You’re fine. Your skin is darker earlier than mine was. No biggie. Read back in this thread a ways and see how alffie’s (I think it was him) peel went quicker than mine. You got a pretty good burn judging from what you’ve said.

Believe me, I had similar concerns at times when I was experimenting with this. Fuck, maybe I screwed up and made it worse!? Will it stay like this?! What is this swelling?! If it gets truly bad and ulcerates or something what will I say to the doctor!?

Relax. It will peel. Give it time. Quit staring at it and worrying. Give this 5-7 days and you’ll see everything is proceeding ok.

From an earlier post of mine in this thread:

Quote
>How many days does it take you to heal?

Day of application: Not much noticeable effect apart from maybe some mild swelling.

Day 2 and 3: Any swelling subsides and the treated area turns dark.

Day 4-6: Skin peels (resist the urge to help it along)

Day 7: 95%-100% peeled. The new skin is pink colored. After another 4-5 days the pink begins fading into a more normal skin tone. I’ve read that erythema (red/pink color) can in some cases persist for a long time after medium and deep facial peels. I’m pleasantly surprised how quickly it resolves on my shaft.

My current opinion is it’s damn near impossible to cause serious damage of the penis shaft skin with a single application of OTC wart remover containing 17% salicylic acid.

People sensitive to salicylates are an obvious exception. In that case I’d think the skin would still be ok, but they would experience other symptoms.

I am not a doctor or otherwise medically trained. Everything I express is only my personal opinion.

I just did a burn with Compound W. I was planning to leave the Compound W on for about an hour or so, but after about 5 minutes it was hurting like hell and I took it off.

I have some advice for other people who are going to try this. First of all, when taking to Compound W, do not try to get it off by rinsing it with water, it hurts like hell. I basically just peeled mine off after trying to rinse it off. Second, after peeling it off, it will still hurt when you put it under water. I tried for a few minutes in the shower to gradually get mine penis under the water and finally got it there. I think the sensitive skin under the burn just has to get used to the water or something. Once I got my penis under the water it didn’t hurt anymore.

It has been about 6 hours now and my skin seems a bit dry and dark as well. I applied the Compound W to a large area, however I wouldn’t say that my discolouration was too bad.

I’ll let everyone know what happens.

Why, after reading the experiences and advice here would you elect to leave it on for a full hour?

Yep, it hurts for a while. Grit you teeth, smack around some stuffed animals, stomp your feet, howl at the moon, or whatever. As they say, “grin and bear it.” This isn’t a kidney stone type of pain, only some superficial skin stinging that ends as soon as you remove the coating.

I’ve always wiped/rolled off the coating under cool running water in the shower. Worked well for me.

Folks, read this entire thread a couple times before trying this — and do not overdo it your first time out. Narcolepsy, you should be fine. Follow Hobby’s advice and leave it alone. Look back at my earlier posts as to what I went through.

Might be time for another session. Very light intensity stretches for just 3 or 4 days was all it took for the discoloration to return. It’s mainly on my foreskin. Maybe I should get circumcised.lol

Hobby,

Have you considered using Benzocaine prior to this procedure to prevent excessive stinging. I’m thinking:

1. Apply benzocaine (7.5%)

2. Wait 10 minutes and wash off with soap and water

3. Wash area with alcohol and acetone (3 parts alcohol to 1 part acetone)

4. Apply salicylic acid (14% - 17%)

5. Wait 5-7 minutes

6. Remove acid and moisturize.

What do you think?

Give it a try. Salicylic acid cuts through oil, so thorough cleaning isn’t needed. I’d skip the acetone and maybe even the alcohol.

It’s been about 5 days since I burned my dick. And it’s been about 4 days since I freaked out, running around my house holding my dick screaming “WHAT DID I DO”!! I am happy to report that all is going well. It has started to peel like everyone says. Now I just hope this pinkish area turns into a noticeable lighter normal looking color. If it does I will be burning the remaining areas of my penis. Jolly good.

I did another application — hitting the circ scar ring area — where some dark deposits remained. This time I used the wart remover (17%) instead of the 15% or 25% acid solutions I have. I wanted to more directly control the application, since the wart remover solution congeals quickly and is not as prone to spreading. It burned a little — not nearly as much as when I applied the 25% liquid for way to long the first time I did this. I washed it off in the shower after 5 minutes. I appeared as if some of the white congealed stuff would not come off, but then I remembered hobbys post about this being the color of the affected skin (I think hobby wrote about this?). Soon after, the whiteness was gone. I think I had a decent application, as I noticed some minor burning sensation later in the day. If this does not work (good peel), I will go back to 25% solution. Not scary after I have been through this before. Hobby, if you are out there, when did you start applying moisturizer?

I started shortly after the burn but didn’t bother about it much until the skin had started peeling. The dry, dead peeling skin has rough edges. Keeping it soft(er) helps prevent it from gouging into the fresh skin. I used a thin coating of Vaseline several times a day. It is most effective when applied immediately after a shower because it helps hold in the absorbed moisture.

The pinkish color faded for me relatively quickly. The only spot where it didn’t was where I got overzealous and picked off some of the peeling skin. That small spot looked similar to scar tissue and stayed pinker for much longer than the area around it I hadn’t messed with. I can’t overemphasize the importance of allowing the dead skin to slough away on its own. Let it stay on as long as it wants. Resist the temptation to help it along.

I picked up a tube of Compound-W gel. Unlike the liquid, which is applied via a brush and might tend to run, this stuff apparently goes on thicker. I think I’ll probably apply it with latex gloves, spread it around, and try to target it on the right spots.

The idea behind using the gel is to get better specificity in the application site. I hope anyone with experience with the gel will chime in.

You may need more applications. After my first peel, the ecstacy that greeted my newfound pinkish hue faded once the PE induced dirty dick look returned. I persisted, however, and after many trials recaptured the pristine cock of my youth.

Yeah, it seems that the pinkish hue is turning back into the dirty dick look, but does seem lighter than the surrounding areas that were not burnt. I remember reading somewhere that with chemical peels, multiple treatments might be necessary for desired results. I’ll probably redo the area in a week or so. But first I’m going to burn the rest of my penis that I didn’t treat with the wart remover stuff. I left the wart remover on for about 3 mins last time; I suppose I’ll leave it on longer this time. The magic number seems to be 5 mins, at least thats how long everyone else seems to have left it on.

Huff, how many applications did you do before reaching that so desired “pristine cock of youth”?
