Shedding the Snake: Peeling to Remove Discoloration

Also, there has been mention in this thread of Q-switched lasers working for hemosiderin deposits. I’ve also read a couple studies where these lasers have treated hemosiderin successfully.

Successful Treatment of Disfiguring Hemosiderin-Containing Hyperpigmentation With the Q-Switched 650-nm Wavelength Laser | Dermatology | JAMA Dermatology | JAMA Network

I’m gonna make an appointment at the following clinic to have this treatment done under the guise of laser hair removal. I do actually have some hair on my shaft which I want to get rid of.

Laser hair removal before after pictures|before after photos of hair removal

The website says that they use Palomar Nd:YAG laser, which I’ve read is Q-switched. In the study however it says "darkly pigmented patches was found only where the 650-nm hand piece of the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser had been used". So, whether this clinic uses a 650 nm laser I’m not sure, and it would be too awkward to ask for that specifically.

So I’m gonna try this out and see what happens. I am hoping for a miracle. I think it’s doubtful, but we’ll see.

So I got the laser treatment, however they used IPL which is not technically a laser but is better for hair removal. No difference whatsoever in discolouration.

Is there any opinion out there as to which acid is best for peeling?

I’ve tried TCA and salicylic acid, which have both helped a bit but not resolved things. I went too strong on the TCA and actually have an area now of hyPOpigmentation, which fucking sucks.

Other options are lactic acid and glycolic acid, both of which are supposedly very good for the skin. So there is:

Salicylic acid (wart remover, seems most commonly used)
TCA
Glycolic acid
Lactic acid

I currently have a 90% lactic acid and 50% glycolic acid which I’m gonna try out in very small patches to see which helps most.

IPL is totally different from Q switch laser in regards to the effect it has on pigmentation. IPL is not even recommended for pigmentation, Q switch is. Your best bet right now would be to try the q switch laser ND-YAG.

I spoke to a dermatologist who performs that procedure on any part of the body, including genitals but charges alot per session and says it would take around 6-8 sessions to notice a good difference. IPL on the other hand like you mentioned, is more for hair removal and not targetted at pigmentation. Hope this helps.

I don’t particularly want to waste more money on trying the q-switched laser, especially if it’s gonna take that many treatments. I think my next step is to try another peel.

I suppose you’re not gonna try it?

Of course im going to be trying it, but when im near the end of my PE journey…..reason being I might encounter more discolouration in the future when i start more advanced routines. So that might nullify the q switch effect.
Another thing I suggest is if youre thinking of doing it, see it all the way through with the recommended sessions as per your dermatologist - no point doing it otherwise as it would be a waste of money with disappointing results. Number of sessions might be less depending on your consultation, 6-8 is the max for heavy pigmentation.

Maybe I’ll ask about it at my next appointment for hair removal. I’m sure if I did it it would end up costing at least $1k.

I have some acids here now. As much as I don’t want to do another peel I may as well try those first.

50% glycolic
70% glycolic
90% lactic

My plan is to test path all those alone as well as in combination and see which works best, i.e.

50% glycolic
70% glycolic
90% lactic
50% glycolic mixed with lactic
70% glycolic mixed with lactic

From what ive come across online, per session should be near around USD 300-400, im not from the US so I dont have an exact idea. You might get a bulk discount if you take a package which includes multiple sessions.

Ya I’m guessing a bulk package would be $1k based on other rates from that clinic. Next visit I’m gonna ask her to do a test spot with the q-switched laser… depending on how this peel goes.

It can take between 6-9 months to see results due to the fact that its a long process - due to gap between sessions and the time it takes for the laser to show effect on the skin.

Youre going to have a lady work on your penis ? 😉

Yup… she already has lol.

Why dont you ask her straight out if she (women) prefers a penis like this or if it needs to be lightened 😉

Based on my rapport with her and her personality I think that’d come off as weird as hell lol. I’ll see how I feel next appointment and ask her if she can do a test patch with the q-switched laser.

Also I did a test patch with 90% lactic acid and 50% glycolic acid last night and barely felt a thing from either of them. Eithe my skin is resistant from past peels or the stuff I got is shit.

Also the thing is my cock is not only a bit dark… it’s uneven. It is basically all the same color, however it’s not totally uniform when you look up close. If it were darker and totally even in tone I’d probably be fine with it, but it’s not. Also there are a few patches on the back that are significantly darker. And it’s also darker overall than the first inch of skin or so on my shaft.

For anyone interested, here’s some info regarding peel strengths:

Comparative Study of 70% Glycolic Acid Versus 35% TCA Versus 1% Tretinoin Peel for the Treatment of Melasma | Insight Medical Publishing

Comparative study of 15% TCA peel versus 35% glycolic acid peel for the treatment of melasma - PMC

I have used 35% TCA in the past which can hurt like hell and also results in severe peeling. Supposedly based on the above glycolic acid is just as effective, but without the peeling, and fewer chances of side effects. I guess that’s why I didn’t feel much from its application last night. No results yet but we’ll see over the next couple weeks. If this stuff works without the pain and skin cracking / shedding then that’s pretty incredible.

I’m gonna apply 70% glycolic tomorrow night and see how that works.

TCA is supposed to be stronger than glycolic and phenol is supposed to be the strongest. If TCA 35% didnt work, I doubt glycolic will work. Try increasing TCA strength to 50% or so, but carefully. Patch test !
