Don’t want to ruin this thread with off topic shit, but that song was funny as hell.

— The South Park movie was entitled “Bigger, Longer, Uncut”

— In Caddyshack, when Rodney Dangerfield first goes to Bushwood, he is in the locker room meeting some members of the club. A few come out of the shower and he is introduced to Mr. (name). He goes, “Oh, hello Mr. (name)” and while looking down at his dick he continues, “or should I say Mrs.?”

Obviously, the fact that a gag gift like this exists is testament to the fact that being small is regarded as “derogatory.”

Well, practically every penis size joke in movies, tv shows etc is based on the “big = good, small = bad” premise. And everyobody gets the joke (except for small children, I guess), nobody is scratching their head wondering what penis size has to do with anything..

It’s actually quite funny how hypocritical society still really is even today.

From how I see it, the core of the issue with penis size reference is a direct relation to masculinity.
People using a small penis joke as an insult are basically saying you are less of a man. Equating the size of the penis to the relevance of masculinity and the identity of who you are as a man or what makes you a man. Calling into question the worth and value of your masculine identity.

Then, on that same token, to “appease” men’s egos; you hear that cliche that size does not matter.

Now, if you think about that logically, if size does not matter, then why would penis jokes be so prevalent today? If it were not attempting to directly insult your masculine identity?

Very much how many insecure men will insult other men by calling them gay and using other derogatory gay-related insults. Then on the flip side all you ever hear is acceptance and tolerance and “I don’t have a problem with gay people, but… blah blah blah.”

If that were true, then why would insecure men use “gay” as derogatory insult?

It all boils down to the same thing, small penis is equal to being less of a man.
Just like to many ignorant people, being gay is equal to being less of a man.

You just have to shake your head and laugh sometimes and realize how foolish the bullshit of our society, why the hell would I care what some idiots think if this is the shit I hear coming out of their mouths?

Nice post ellm.

I’m going to try an experiment to see how many ‘Size Matters’ references I can find in the media in a week starting from today. I reckon I should find at least one a day..

I don’t remember exactly where I read this, but during some summer olympics (I’m guessing the ones in Barcelona 1992, possibly Atlanta 1996) the British press was making a huge deal out of how big Linford Christie’s package looked in those tight shorts, to the extent that he complained about it taking away focus on his actual performance in the games. It sounds pretty weird, maybe someone from the UK can confirm..

Yes that’s true. I remember ‘Linford’s Lunchbox’ being used in the media at the time.

Christie on "Hustle"— great little UK congame show— at ~1:18 a character refers to himself as a little guy, and at the end an accusation is made that "everyone knows you used to stick a sock down it".

Someone got this already, but your clip has an extra part that the other one didn’t have yet. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing when I watched for the first time.

Back in the 70’s (high school) I listened to Aerosmith. One of their tunes was called "Big Ten Inch"

Liv Tyler must be so proud to see her 61 year old father sing about his supposed penis size.
No really, it’s not embarrassing or humiliating at all.
