The thought of mainstream PE...

is scaring me. Arghh talk about competition.

I mean now that DLD is getting an article in GQ magazine (wow).
The PE craze is going to go crazy.

Women are going start wanting 10” men.

I was hoping that this would be kept in the underground for the guys who did their detective work :(

I think it’s a good thing. Just imagine if you didn’t have a computer and never found Thunder’s Place. Wouldn’t you be grateful if GQ ran an article about it? I would.

I tried to think about this optimistically- as in, “well, perhaps the additional interest will prompt real scientific research to this end”. But then, the market for genuine penile enlargement is already likely fairly intensively researched, and with what results beside the butchery they call surgery and a gazillion pills and what-have-you?

All we can hope for is for more unbiased scientific data to come to light from this. And that the public’s fascination, should it prove overwhelming, also wanes just as quickly.

I’m torn. On the one hand I have to agree with Stevie, the more men who find help with this issue the better. But my fear is that as PE becomes “mainstream” (it’s inevitable) there will be even more scammers and bullshit artists cashing in on it and possibly causing even more pain and anguish to people who genuinely deserve help. I’m not suggesting DLD falls into this category. But the minute he becomes “legitimized” in the mainstream press (and with along with him natural PE) the floor’s gonna be crawling with “Growth Gurus”.
On the other hand most if not all of us are here because we are seriously motivated to help ourselves. If you’re here, it’s likely because you’ve accepted the truth: There is no magic pill. Just hard work and encouragement from a lot of good people.
So I wonder about the negative impact on a place like Thunder’s should it suddenly be over-run by masses of dilettantes spouting off about stuff they read in GQ or saw on 20/20. That might sound haughty given that I’m pretty new to this place, but I like the “underground” feel of PE and Thunder’s right now.
Sometimes it’s good to grow slow.

I think LonerJ read the other one and started this one. At least that’s what I thought when I read the first post in this thread.

To add a little fuel to the fire, we had 47 new members apply yesterday. A normal day is around 20.

Is 47 high for a weekend day?

Goddamit, this is no good! I’m with LonerJ. Stevie does have a good point, but I can’t help not wanting everyone to find out about PE. Is DLD really going to have an article in GQ? Where did people find out about this???

To look at it another way, GQ could just as likely write a negative article that trashes PE, DLD, etc. It’s been known to happen.
