I thought I had posted in this thread before, but obviously I haven’t. It is very interesting to see the ideas behind all the names that are used.
When I got this computer the Christmas before last, I thought, another useless present, how ungracious and ungrateful can you be. But, knowing me, I figured it would remain in the box. However, I also got a mobile phone, which I couldn’t use either, a Siemens it was. I read the instructions over the holidays again and again and roped everyone in, but no-one could figure it out. I flung it in the corner on one occasion and it made a noise, so I picked it up and a recorded voice asked if I would like to register? I did of course, but I would also have liked to use it once in a while. Anyway it has a new owner now, so I thought, I am determined to get something to work, ah, the computer!.
By the end of the holidays it was up and running, minus the printer which is still in the box, a great saving on ink. I am afraid to hitch it up, as it might screw everything up and I won’t get to Thunder’s Place.
It was a fantastic feeling of achievement and I just needed a user name of course, but what to use that I wouldn’t forget? Bingo, my neighbour just got a new Boxer dog and as it was red, called it Russo. ‘That’s not how you spell it, it’s Rousseau’, hmmm he was an artist, I will use this myself, I only need to think ‘dog’, (no funny comments, please!), when I forget, which I will and it will come back to me. It was taken, but they suggested 506 as a possibility, so that was it really, all sorted, Peugeot 506, will help me remember that bit and it did.
So it was rousseau506, all done and dusted, though I do wish it was rousse, rouss or roussie, which seemed to have appeared here over time in T’s Place. Any of them would be more me.
