What does everyone's username mean?

“Dirk Gently’s holistic detective agency” is one of my favorite books by Douglas Adams. Douglas also wrote “The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy” series (as you all probably know). Dirk is a very intuitive detective, believes in the “interconnectedness of everything” as do I, and his name is cool sounding. It’s common in other forums so I’m very happy nobody had used it at Thunders. Dirk also brings the film Boogie Nights to mind - remember Dirk Diggler? That’s not a cool sounding name, rather stupid, but funny. The film in my opinion is great!

Hughgrection is something I heard as a youth and found particularly amusing. I might have read it in a book somewhere.

Dangleman? After my huge dangling anaconda, of course.

*I measure PRE-WORKOUT, normal erection* Started: 7 EBP x 4.9 EG. Several years on and off PE, now 8.125 EBP length x 5.5 EG midshaft (5.8 base). Working on girth (clamping) again after breaks due to injuries - fast recent gains! Pics

I often crash my bicycle, hence my name.

Sick of having an average sized dingaling I started PE and now have an 8 inch dongalong another 2 inches and I’ll change my name to Dongamegalong.

Cool thread. It would be nice if it was updated for the newer folks here. As for my name, well, whenever I think back on my childhood I can only think of the pain inflicted on me since there is more bad than good. There were some other names I thought about choosing but they were too depressing.

Maybe I don't like it, but I have no choice

I know that somewhere, someone hears my voice

Xefon is part of one of my fav photoshop plugins backwards XENOFEX and zephon is a demon that set fire to heaven when the angels fell so it has dubble meaning for me.

I look like the actor that played Legolas in Lord of the Rings.

I am also a big fantasy nut. I read fantasy books and play D&D because I get motion sickness from the new, fast moving video games like X Box, Nintendo, Play Station etc. But, that is ok because it gives me more time to PE!

I originally signed up using the same on line personality that I’ve used for over 10 years, but I realized that it’s so well known by my family and friends that it’s was becoming difficult for me to share around here. I couldn’t share stuff around here and make references about my wife or family with a nagging fear that one of them would become a memeber around here and then call me on some personal thing in my off line life. So I had Thunder change my nick to RootCap.

RootCap? I was trying to come up with something phyallic in nature. A RootCap is a structure of cells at the end of a plants roots that protect the end of the root and also enable it to grow. Made sense to me. My mind equated RootCap with “dick head” and the picture in my kids science book that got me started on it in the first place did look like the head of a dick. I was going to scan that pic and use it for my avator but I’ve been particularly lazy as of late.

ok there you go …

Did Dirk Gently ever get the sofa unstuck from his stairway?

Churchy la Femme is the name of the turtle in the comic strip “Pogo”.

When I started here I was called Huffduck. But on other boards I usually go as Huffduff. I changed the name here because I have a nemesis in the real world who knows the latter username; I’m fessing up now because he’s probably forgotten by now, plus the odds of his roaming here are quite slim? So I chose Huffduck because it rhymed with Huffduff but didn’t give me away completely.

Huffduff is actually the shorthand pronunciation of “High Frequency Direction Finding,” a technology used during world war two to track down Uboats. Academics got tired of referring to it as such at conferences and symposiums, so they took its written abbreviation(HF/DF) and added some imaginary vowels. When I was logged on as Huffduck, everyone just called me Huff anyway, so after returning from a two month hiatus this year, I just figured I’d go with that.

Some cooky member here once thought Huff was my last name. Others have thought it suggested a bad temper(an agry man is in a Huff). Sadly, Huff is just the product of a convoluted tale of paranoia, geeky interests, and pragmatism.

Interesting reads on this thread! :)

For me: Eroset is a combination of two gods, Eros and Set. I’m not technically a follower anymore of any Pagan religions (or any religion for that matter), but I still utilize pagan-like philosophies, mindsets, and paradigms as tools for personal growth and exploration.

The two gods in question represent two opposing forces that I find are the two most base-level driving forces in my life. Sex and Death. One is one that drives men positively and one drives us negatively. To simplify.. We’re all driven to some degree or another to seek out those things that will bring us Sex (maybe not as much as Freud thought), and we’re driven to avoid those things that will bring us Death (ummm.. Duh). These two forces, at least in my humble opinion, are with all of us to one degree or another, and drive many of our decisions and actions in life, whether conscious, unconscious, or subconscious.

That, and I like beer a whole lot.
