Where to get an infrared heat lamp

I am thinking about throwing in a heat lamp support to my PE routine? Where can I buy a good one on the net and what specifications should I consider while buying?

I just bought a cheap desk lamp that was adjustable , & bought an infrared bulb (any good lighting store) to put in it .

Careful you don’t burn your house down from sticking a high wattage bulb in a “cheap desk lamp.” At first I tried a cheapy adjustable clamp-on desk lamp, but it got too hot and didn’t have any sort of protection in front of the bulb. I worried about accidentally brushing up against it. That’d fuck you.

I then bought a brooder lamp similar to the one in the attached pic at Wal-Mart for about $7. Mine doesn’t have an on/off switch. Maybe you can find one online that does.

Whatever you use, make sure it has a ceramic socket and no plastic parts nearby to melt.

Yes , mines got the ceramic socket & I took off the plastic shroud . Should’ve mentioned that I guess .
