At what weight did hanging start to show results for you

I am up to 7 1/2 pounds BTC and 12 1/2 pounds standing and that has taken me the better part of six months to work up to. I’ve seen an initial 1/8” in length and some 1/4” or so of girth (not really concerned with girth so I don’t keep track) and I’m interested in the experiences of others to get a feel for where hanging might be heading for me in the next year or so.


Began December 2009 at 5 7/8" length and 5" girth.

As of December 5th 2012 7 3/8" BPEL and 6 1/8" base girth.

Going for the magic 8"x6"

I used a sock hanger for a bout three months and built up to 12 lbs (standing up only) until privacy became an issue. Gained about 1/4 inch.


Start 11/09 BPEL: 5.5", EG: 4.4"

Current. BPEL: 6:4", EG: 5.5"

That’s a good result for an hour a day, which is exactly what I’m doing, except that I spread my sets out throughout the day.

I measured after a month of hanging because I noticed that I was obviously larger and found that I’d gained 1/4” but I haven’t measured since.

Somewhere between the weight you are at and 9lbs is where my penis suddenly started to get longer. But if you can free up any more time for more sets do so. I am rather old school in my views on needed time in the hanger; i.e., >10 hours per week.

I think I started gaining at 5-7.5lbs when I was a newbie.. When I started hanging again last year, I started gaining at 17.5-20lbs. I’m doing about 14h a week hanging time.

I am doing nearly 6 hours per week hanging, so I am going to have to find the time to do one more set per day to reach the 10 hours that I keep seeing reported by successful hangers.

I need to hang longer, 10 hours per week will be my goal.

Privacy has become an issue, GF knows i PE, but when i start taking out tools she looks at me funny lol

I hang with 5 pounds and make sure the angles are extreme enough that I feel it in the tissues I use SO and then turn my body left and right to get the side of the penis and I do I kind of pull with my butt while SO to get the underside and I have immediate gains after my work outs but I have to cement them which is what takes time.

I’ve been going since May started at 6” now i am 6.5” started BTC with 2.5lbs for 4-sets now i am up to 7.5lbs for sets of 4-10 I am going to increase to 8.5lbs end of month. I don’t know what is best but I just measured last week and today I woke up with morning wood it looked so big couldn’t believe it. Last week I did 19hrs this week maybe I will hit 15hrs.

I think volume of sets/time is the key.

At the present I just don’t have the time available to me to do more.

What I have been doing occasionally is to pre-hang with 10 pounds standing before my seated set, so I’m technically getting 30 minutes a set with a brief break to get the circulation back.

Yesterday I broke up my session into three ten minute sets.

The first set was with five pounds, then I went to seven and a half pounds and finally nine pounds.

The reason why I did this is so that the tissue in my ligaments can stretch gradually without the natural reaction to pull back when exposed to sudden high load.

Apparently this pulling back is what can cause the ligaments to toughen up before plastic deformation can occur, and I personally really don’t want that!

I don’t feel as sore as usual.

I realized after finishing this morning that there was less tugging on the ligaments even though I was using 9 pounds BTC for the last 10 minutes of the session.

I’m wondering if it has anything to do with sneaking up on the ligaments instead of jumping right into the heaviest weight to start like the veterans suggest.
