Have a follow up question - The wrap starts 1.25 inch after the glans, but is there a set length for the wrap?

I have a question about the need for a seperate warmup/warm down. I’ve just ordered an infraphil with 150w bulb and I already own an extender where the strap/clamp bit is really comfortable plus a tube I made from liquid rubber which is similar to a 2mm thick (sort of a thicker condom). I’ve used the tube below the extender loads of times and it feels really comfortable and never slips.

What I had planned was to use the infraphil for 5 minutes then roll the tube on, place the end of the extender on top of that then hang weights from it. I’ve been doing PE on and off for years but still intend on starting with just 2.2lbs for 3 sets then working my way up to split sets of 3 in the morning and 3 evening then up the weights 1lb at a time. In between sets I was going to remove the extender bit but leave the heat on then after all the set do the same but leave the heat on a full 5 minutes. Id also use the tube as an ADS (I originally made it for this but it tends to fold over near the pubic bone so need to find a way to stop that without cutting off circulation, its not a long stretch but it never turtles).

Now with the infraphil 5 minutes before and after do I still need to use a rice sock etc? It seems some on here have been and I’m wondering what benefit the rice sock would give over the infraphil for warmup/down. Other than that is there anything else wrong with the above plan? Btw I realise the extender won’t hole much more than 4-5kgs but I figured I could see if I’ve made any gains and if I have id get a bib hanger. I’ve tried loads of things for PE, some work a little but others not at all. I’m still on average about the same size as when I started (tho mainly down to the on/off work I’ve been doing at PE) so I don’t want to spend any more on something like hanging till I know something works for me.

I completed the newbie routine a few weeks and started some light hanging, I noticed towards the end of 3 or 4 set the head started to feel numb. I would stop, take of the bib standard hanger, wait for a few minutes and finish the set if it doesn’t.

5 pounds @ 20min X 4 sets currently doing them back to back. I thought about doing splits, 2 in the am/pm. My girth is about 4.75 mid way erect, I have been wondering if the starter bib would be better suited.

Never really had that, maybe the wrap is too tight?
I use a clamp type hanger made from a PVC pipe coupler, it is 1.9” inner diameter, but squeezes down with the hose clamp. It has refused to return to it’s original size, making it harder to get on at the base, but easy to squeeze the head and mid-shaft area in there, it’s close to 1.5” or 1.6” now. Buy a 1.5” PVC coupler for this size, or a 1.25” next size down, or 2” next size up. I fixed a key ring onto the hose clamp housing, where the worm screw is housed, using 2 high quality Ty-Rap brand cable ties. I have used it to hang THIRTY-SIX POUNDS, so it is Strong! (Not for very long, so Kids! DO not try this at home!!!) I just did that weight to see if I could hold it. I was unable to do 40# for more than a few seconds, so that does not count in my eyes… :rofl: I believe the “perimeter clamp” hanger allows more circulation to the end of the unit while hanging. I have been away from hanging for quite a while now, and hope to start back down at 5# and get gains. If not, I will move up a pound or two at a time. I was doing 12# consistently, but that was years ago. I seem to recall 15# as my max. Current Theory calls for minimal weight, as little as you can get a gain from. I’m thinking 5# for starters due to my past experiences and current girth, but girth may have very little to do with the condition of the ligs, not sure on this.

Try a looser wrap, and if the B.I.B. hanger still causes numbness, the pipe coupler hanger is dirt cheap! Around $3 or less. :D

I’ve seen some diagrams for the pvc method, I may give that a try.

Today I increased my hang weight to 7.5lbs.

Currently doing 15min x3 sets, 10min rest between. Hot wrap before/after when I can.

With this new weight, half(yes half. In a spiral!) my glans turned dark purple which has never happened before.

I think I need to change my wrap technique? And advice? I’m using a Captain’s Wench.

I made a Captain Wrench and started at 2.5 lbs and worked up to 15 lbs, 2x20 mins. Had same issue as you - a purple head at 15 lbs.

Looked around and ended up getting a Male-Hanger - zero issues so far with same basic wrap and 15 lbs.

I added a second clamp to my captains wench and went back to 10 minutes instead of 15. Seems to have done the trick for now.

When Do You change Angles Of Attack

Started hanging about 45 days ago with BTC. I had a lower lot of about 8. From reading it says to switch angles when I have maximized gains from BTC. Just curious how long that could be in general? How long did others take. Naturally not everyone will be the same and it’s dependent on individual physiology, routines and goals. Just looking for a ball park.
