Hanging 101

I’m thinking of doing ADS with a hanger, though may want to ease into it with doing some stretching with a thermoband to a belt around my leg. I’m new to all this and researching threads about all this.

My concern is…

How do you hang for around 2 hours, or even longer? Where do you get the time, and can you still do work sitting down in these hanging positions etc.?

I’m on a decon break for at least 6 days now as I seem to have lost a bit of my erection length. I wonder if doing ADS is a good thing to do right now, or if I should decon for longer. If I decon for longer I wonder if ADS will work. As I worry that I have had some damage to my penis that has stopped me from gaining length increases.

Would I still need to heat my penis before hanging, or inbetween hanging?

I need to change my PE routine as I haven’t had gains for a whole year and only gained 1/4 erect length anyway. I’m trying to find the best routine for me and I’m not sure how to go about hanging, as I have a large girth too (though because of this it seems that ADS is the best thing to do)

Any help would be appreciated. I am kinda lost and looking at doing different things here. Thank you all.

Ive progressed up to 10LBS, now occasionally the entire unit (Wench, wrap, clamps, weight) will twist in one direction over time. After I finish one rep of 10 minutes, sometimes its almost 90 deg to the left or right from where youre supposed to have it. Any suggestions?

I was wondering if Hangers by themselves are a good way to gain length? I was looking to get the LG Hanger. The common thing I’ve read everywhere is that its comfortable and can be worn longer.

I know adding stretches would be great but I’m still trying to make a routine Id actually be consistent with and the tugs are just mind numbing for me

Is it okay that your penis looses blood flow for 20minutes at a time?
When I hang my penis gets colder at the tip the longer I hang and eventually after about 13 minutes it changes to a darker slightly purple color.
Id doesn’t hurt but I’m concerned that it can potentially hurt the nerves in my penis resulting in reduced sensitivity.

The way I see it, the only way to clamp is to grip on some blood engorged tissue to prevent the hanging device from slipping off. Am I doing it wrong?

I should have provided more detailed information. I apologize. Current hanging = weight 7Ibs.
I use a silicone sleeve under a layer of theraband. I make sure that there is some wrapping leverage on each side of the clamp so it can set to a medium loose grip when I tighten the clamp.
I clamp horizontally. I simply can’t get my penis to stay in a vertical position as it rotates back to its natural position when I tighten the device.

So basically clamping the way I do doesn’t slip or hurt however, the glans do loose some heat and goes slightly numb. (Is there a temperature drop rule?)
As soon as I release the clamp the penis turns back to normal and the purple hue goes away after some massaging.

So am I at risk of harming the penis nerves?

I’ve had the purple problem as well, which is why I do 10 minutes on 10 min rest/massage and mine seems OK.

However I am fairly new to this like you and hopefully someone more experienced can help you better.

Yeah for new beginners it can be harder to understand the silver lining.

Like for example, what defines “penis turning blue”
Does that mean a deep purple-blue like color or a slight hue?
Is there a certain limit you can go approach without risk?
When using ADS devices your glans is bound to get cold and even whiter (Phallosan Forte for example) and that is allegedly fine according to the manufacturer.

That could be due to one side stretching more, and skewing to the opposite side. You can twist the weights (and hence your unit) around to the other side to compensate for uneven stretching. I have a left bend so I try and put my attachment point on that, so it gets straighter as I get a good stretch.

I’d say NO for all of that, just follow the directions as found here on TP and you will be fine. I started doing PE (on and off) since the mid 80’s and I regularly “pushed the limits” and rarely had an incident. I wore an ADS for 10-12 hours a day for over a year, maybe suffered a very little bit of sensation loss, no erectile function change, however. Very Good EQ.
I mention PE’ing since the mid 80’s because I must have a very well conditioned unit, so EASE INTO IT! Go forward with the guidance of Thunder’s Place and I doubt that you will have any problems. Plus, Great Growth! :D

I have studied the hanging video a couple of times more but there is one problem that I can’t seem to be able fix and that is penis rotation during tightening.
In the video the “trainer” is putting clamping pressure from side to side but the only way I can do it is across the dorsal vein on top and over the urethra on the other side.
It always rotates in one direction. Most often to the left as that is my “pyrones bend”

Can I keep doing it my way or am I at risk?

Either your wrap is too tight or the Bib is too tight prior to squeezing the blood off of the glans, or a combination of both.

Remember to squeeze the blood from the glans while wrapping and before tightening the Bib for the first set.

I never used a B.I.B. Hanger, I just made a pipe coupler hanger. 1/2 a PVC pipe coupling, it has a hose clamp on it and protects the urethra and the dorsal areas both. I do not seem to get rotation at all, or very little. I do not worry about rotation, so I guess it’s not an issue with the way I hang.

I thought your sentences were well constructed, DIY… Could not even tell, my friend!

Try to do it on the sides. You dont want to damage those veins.

Hi, this site is quite large and it can be difficult to know exactly where to post what types of questions but here goes.

I’ve recently started hanging again. I was hanging a while back (years) and have been hanging now for about 2-3 months. I’ve noticed that pumping while hanging is discouraged by some but others seem to do it. I usually only pump while I masturbate and I feel like it is good to pump in blood to the tissues after hanging to help cement gains and return blood flow to any tissues that might have experienced blood flow loss during hanging. Is that true?

In short, I like pumping and I think I’ve had better erections when I’ve pumped. I’m not targeting girth gains with this pumping, I’m much more interested in length. To clarify:

1. I do not mix hanging and pumping sessions
2. I usually wait at least an hour or two before masturbating after hanging
3. I only pump when I masturbate
4. I only like to pump to improve erection quality, not trying to push hard to make girth gains

Any advice is greatly appreciated, I may have a few questions about hanging as well.

I used to alternate hanging and pumping, to good effect, but the “CW” here @ TP is to only do one or the other, work length OR girth. I used to do everything, and it worked. I personally think you will be fine mixing routines. Now as for masturbating daily, I suggest EDGING. It is going to help your erectile quality greatly, and you will have a good reservoir of semen built up should you get an actual command performance ;) The Chinese TAO states that one’s age divided by 5 is the frequency that one should actually ejaculate in days. Do if you are 20, every 4 days. But even at my age (every 11 days, do the math :rofl: ) I can exceed these recommendations due to increased “T” Levels and overall awesomeness (jk:p ) if I use supplements. Edging helps EQ and gives you the ability to resist premature ejaculation. It’s GREAT!
