My opinion on 1 and 2:
1. I think the amount of weight used is a case by case basis type thing. I don’t have any hard and fast rules that I know about this. Maybe someone like monty, big girtha, or someone else with more experience in this area can comment. I have used a golf weight ADS after hanging with some success, but not for years like some of these guys who can probably give a lot more insight. Just like hanging though, I would start light, take it slow, monitor your circulation, increase things slowly and incrementally, etc.

I always thought just not letting yourself turtle would be enough with an ADS (if you’re already doing a hanging routine). Maybe others have different views on this though.

2. Split sets are best, but not everyone has that kind of time. I think split sets are enough, but if they don’t fit your schedule, an ADS is better than nothing. Once again, this is just my opinion.

My Answer = A
A) I believe this is ideal. (split sets, no ads)
B) This is probably overkill (split sets and ads)
C) This is my last choice between these 3x options. (no split set and ads)

I do find that my maximum weight from my final set always goes up a bit between my last morning set, and my first split set later in the eveing.

If you ask Bib, I am pretty sure he will tell you just to do split sets. However, as I said, a lot of veterans use ADS (instead of split sets). Maybe some are willing to comment, I guess we will see.

I guess I will go with split sets then and use ADS occasionally (when I don’t have to sit in the class). I can’t wear it for more than 3-4 hours a day anyway and I’ve seen some members reporting 8-10 hours of ADS a day.

With 10 hours of ADS use I don’t think a person could possibly be hanging more than a few sets, unless they are doing PE 12+ hours per day…

If you sleep 8 hours a day and wear ADS 10 hours a day, there’s still a 6 hour window for hanging. Of course, that depends on a lot of things (job, family, general surrounding, time organization, etc.), but it’s doable.

I was also wondering if using my Penimaster for 8h a day in conjunction with hanging. It would keep the penis extended while it heals and it doesn’t seem to put major pressure onto the penis where it would be too much…I could be wrong but I am just checking. Would this be safe?

I don’t know how much force is Penimaster exerting, but extenders are basically just like ADS, only difference is you can change the angle of traction. If you’re using force that is suited to your penis conditioning, I think it’s safe.

Have you already been using the penimaster for a long time? (how many months, years, and how many hours per day)

How many hanging sets do you plan on doing each day, and will you be doing split sets?

Hey great thread, I’m thick and I gained a lot of girth from hard jelqs. I’ve been trying to gain length for a while and I’m going to start a hanging routine. I’ll let you guys know if I’m able to make length gains even though I’m very thick. I believe I will get length gains but my question for the thread starter is should I stop jelqing?

10-20 minutes of light jelqs are part of a normal hanging routine. I can’t take hard jelqs after hanging, but your penis sounds well conditioned, so I am not sure what to expect in your case. It might be possible for you to do this without injury (hanging + moderate intensity jelqing), and I have read at least one anecdotal example of a guy who had great success combining jelqs with hanging (I don’t know if it’s true though).

I have a few caveats to keep in mind.

If you’re doing only one hanging set, you might not experience this, but I have done as much as 8x hanging sets per day, and the attachment point is where I tend to have the most trouble. This may change once I gain more experience, but for now that’s how things are.

Just be careful when stressing the penis near the hanger attachment point. At least with my bib hanger, I tend to find this is where my tissues get the most fatigued, and become the most vulnerable. When I try to add things to my hanging routine (e.g. edging), this is the first area to get ‘raw’, ‘sore’ or near injury. Often my attachment point soreness is my biggest limiting factor, and I find that when I add things to hanging, I often can’t hang as much weight (which then becomes a problem since I can’t reach fatigue if I can’t hang enough weight).

In other words, when ‘extra’ stuff pushes my attachment point tissues over the threshold (near injury), my hanging routine becomes less productive. So far, I have not had success adding much of anything to my hanging routine, other than more hanging. This is just my experience; others may have a different perspective and their experience might not match mine.

I was going to ask if rest between sets are necessary for Vac Hanging. I hang 3lbs right now and after 20mins, and I feel like I can continue for a another 20 mins. What I do is I take off the weight and rest for 5-10 minutes between another set.

I started hanging 2 weeks ago.

Since I do BTC and SD angle, should I feel fatigue in my ligs? I can feel the tension while hanging, but not too much fatigue and soreness after 3 sets.

My other question is: since Vac doesn’t give me the blue gland at lower weight, should I just combine two sets into one? 40 min one set?
