Guy,

Anybody have a easy way to increase weight while hanging that does not take tension off (you don´t have to detach) ??

Somebody mentioned using a bag or a basket and just add the weight. Anybody try this or some other method they would like to share??

I have a small bucket I bought at walmart for around $5. Just drop the weights in at appropriate time.

Seems like the logical choice. I imagine you are doing this standing.

Sitting on a stool, hanging straight out. I hang the pulley from a lower clothes rod in my closet. Most convenient location for me.

S-hook with weights. If the weights are too round to all fit next to each other on the hook, put a string of varying lengths on each so that they hang at different heights when added.

I purchased an over the door pulley from Amazon and strapped it to a laptop bag/case. I use a carabiner to hook to the hanger. I lay down on my bed with the closet door behind me hanging straight up. As the set progresses I reach over and add weight into the bag.

Cable clamp medium sized.

I use a carabiner and have 1/2 and 1 LB weights that clip on super easily. I don’t have to lose any tension, but then again if you’re hanging for hundreds of hours, who cares if you lose tension for a few seconds

I use a zipped tool pouch to hold cheap 2.5lb and 1.25lb exercise weight plates with the 1 inch holes. I’m using the shorter of 3 zipped red and white pouches Milwaukee sells. The 2.5lb plates barely squeeze through the zipper opening. The pouch has a loop on one end for the hook on my LG Hanger.

Kinda tight at 8.75 lbs right now but the short pouch buys me more clearance while sitting for now. I may buy a few lead fishing weights as I move up in weight to cram in there to keep from moving to a longer pouch.

I second grapplers. I use a strap and a carabiner clip. If i need to add weight, i simply slide a plate into the strap and put the d ring back to the clip. Strap - $8, clip $0.25-$1.00

I use a chain and have four wrist weights (2 x .5 lbs & 2 x 1 lbs) along with metal plates.

I use a big carabiner clip and add on or remove 1/2 # plate as needed. The plates have 1” hole that a string can be looped through. The looped string that hangs the plate(s) then goes inside the carabiner as more weight is added during hanging.

I use carabiners and the little “tobacco pouches” some PE equipment (ball weights, for example) come with. I fill the pouches with pennies. There are calculators on the web to tell you how much they weigh; you have to sort them to pre-1981 (copper) or 1983+ (zinc). I used one of my wife’s ankle socks and a couple of zip ties to make a 1# weight.
