Is there supposed to be a gap in the bib hanger

Is there supposed to be a gap in the bib hanger between the hindge when fully closed. For me the whitebit/padded gel cusion has a little bit hanging over onto the hindge which makes it impossible for the hindge to fully close. I feel this causes me to not put the hanger on straight and thus not target the ligaments evenly.

Yep mine is like that. If you over toe one of the bottom nuts then the tightner won’t fit into the tightner groove, so the design does limit the variation.

So we are dealing with compression. If you align your friend correctly, then the forces will be even. If you are having problems, it is probably down to how you are mounting the hanger than the hanger itself.

If you take the thumb and index finger and squeeze a finger on the other hand and pull outwards, then the force is even on both sides. This changes if you pull to one side slightly (ie the weight is not balanced correctly), or the pulling fingers are not aligned opposite each other (ie the hanger has not been put on properly).

Are you hanging BTC? It may be that the weight slips to one side eg the attachment hook is not in the centre of the blue strap.

Can you explain this more, I didn’t really understand.

I am hanging BTC and I always try and align the attachment hook so the weight is in the middle. I think my attachment, technique and wrapping is terrible. I really need to experiment a lot and find a method to get it working better.

It was meant as a basic explanation of compressive forces. I think (but could be wrong) there are really only two ways to get a pull to one side.

1)Hanger is not mounted straight. This should be taken care of by pulling forward as you tighten
2)The weight is not evenly balanced

I suppose uneven wrapping could also do it. Or one side of your ligs is tighter/weaker than the other, which is perfectly feasible.

I used a wench before the Bib, and I find the Bib a lot easier. In fact I wear a very small amount of wrap, in comparison to many. For me it is mainly to keep my skin out of the way of the teeth, and to stop my skin sticking to the gel on the Bib. The Bib ha plenty of padding built in, unless you have a hardcore starter.

When you’re just about to add weight and you pull your hanger to see where it is, does it move forward a little even when tightened the whole way?

Mine always always seems to want to sit behind the head, not right on, it’s usually comfortable but right behind it, then the head twists to the right. Wherever I attach the hanger, the skin wants to ride foward to that point and if I do tighten it hard onto the inner structure further back it’s incredibly uncomfortable so I’m tending to just tighten it a little then pull it forward till it’s right behind the head the tighten up all the way. When you pull it foward when it’s slightly tightened it pulls some extra blood into the head which makes things comfortable. But I really do want to get out of this habbit because I know it’s not ‘the best method’ and I’m going to have trouble at higher weights.

P.s this thread has turned into my own Q&A thing for you Stu :)

Well we’ve taken over other people’ threads enough :)

Okay wrapping, you know I said my wrap is thin, ~ this is similar to what I use, notice that you can see through it. I use about 45 cm.

I wrap down then up, while stretching the penis outward like in SO. The wrap is not loose and not tight.
I wrap around the top multiple times at the end, therefore my wrap is thicker behind the head than on the rest of my shaft.
The wrap is long enough that when I mount the hanger I have ~1cm of wrap visible above & below the hanger.
The main thing to watch is skin folding near the scrotum, do not let this happen, use your fingers to keep this in check, you will get skin burn if the skin is folded over itself under the wrap.
I have ~1cm of foreskin above this and my glans is visible above this.

Note - I have never had much foreskin, it has always rested behind my glans until recently (since I first gained back in April), so here you have to make a judgement for yourself as I don’t do cock pics.

I place my wrapped friend into the hanger, close the tightner.
Pack down, squeeze the head, then manually squeeze the hanger together.
With my finger I flick the wing nut so it tightens to this position. If I am not happy at this point (ie penis alignment in hanger etc), I start again
I use my fingers to stretch out the penis on the hanger underside (ie between me and the hanger), just give yourself a couple of gentle tugs. This prevents initial skin burn when you take up the weight.
I then pull the hanger in an SO direction, and stretch out the penis as I make my final tightening. As I do this I rock the hanger slightly so the tissues are stretched out in the hanger before applying the weight.
I do not allow the coronal ridge to slip into the hanger area!

I tighten to a point where I have no slippage before I attach the weight, if I do slip … its back to the start.

I usually do this lying down, but I do a few SD sessions every now and again, and then I mount whilst standing.

Hope this helps/clarifies.

How much weight are you using with it? I just started with mine 4-sets a day with 5lbs it took me a bit to get use to the wrapping but mine does not slip like that. What position do you hang?

Are you referring to the bottom gap setting of the hanger? Or are you talking about the gap at the top where the teeth mesh together as the hanger is tightened?

Many thanks for this, very useful information as I am a Bib hanger and have had one or two issues myself with things like skin burn and sore areas on the shaft which are a devil to heal! You’re explanation above will help me a lot. Cheers again….

I do something very similar, but like many people after tightening the hanger most of the way I "pulse push" it toward the glans and do just a little more tightening, testing its "purchase" on the tissues before attaching the weight.

Sometimes I have difficulty putting the hanger on I am not that thick but seems like I can’t fit it around I have to really push on it to get it in. What am I doing wrong?

Dogbone you need to move the (Oh fuck my precise language of the hanger parts is bad). You need to move the 2 adjustment wingnuts further across (to the right) I believe, if you understand me right.

At the moment I’ve moved those 2 adjustment wingnuts really close to the left (This is for a smaller girth). I’m experimenting in not using a wrap, it’s ever so much more comfortable but does leave marks in the penis for a while after a set is done. And I am still relying to much on having blood in the head.

Uhm look at the arrow of this redbear, see the gap? It’s where the hinge won’t fully close and I wish it would. Because it definitely alters where my dick head goes off to one side then you have to adjust accordingly but my dick never sits straight in the hanger, it always moves.

The arrow appears to be pointing to the molding of the hanger itself, but I assume you are talking about the hinge not being quite completely closed even when the teeth at the top of the hanger are completely meshed when the hanger is fully tightened, correct?

If so, mine is the same but the amount that it is not completely closed is very little. In the case of my hanger I can’t see that being a factor in how the hanger seats on the penis.
