Measuring hanging time

I am trying to find out how people measure the amount of time you hang. My routine takes about 4 hours including breaks, but the actual time I am strapped in is 2 hours and 40 minutes. If I include the 10 minute breaks, then my routine is 4 hours total.

1) Do you consider your entire time of routine
2) Actual time your strapped in

I am planning on trying to find as much data as available on hanging and analyzing that information to see the correlation between time spent hanging, weight used and length gained.

Only count ‘work time’. Rest varies from person to person.

So I posted the same question on bibs site and he responded to me saying that he is talking about actual time strapped in. This completely contradicts his advice on maximum time hanging. He states that 4 hours is the maximum needed in a day which is eight 20 minute sets. If eight 20 minute sets is the maximum needed in a day and I’m pretty sure eight 20 minute sets calculates to 2 hours and 40 minutes of actual time strapped in, then there is some discrepancies here. I understand the 10 minute breaks are needed to allow the blood to flow and discoloration to subside, but in order to complete a 4 hour hanging of actual time strapped in, then a routine of 6 hours a day would have to be done which would consist of 12 twenty minute sets with 10 minute breaks between.

I don’t think you need to hang 4 hours a day in order to see gains. I think Bib stated that 4 hours is the maximum you should hang in a day. The minimum is 10 hours a week, which is roughly 1-2 hours a day. I think this is based on his personal experience coupled with information from other men and their routines, and is actual hang time.

Personally, I only count the time I’m under tension. I also no longer limit my sets to 20 minutes and my time between sets is only 1-2 minutes, which is just long enough to re-heat my rice sock.

How long do your sets last if you no longer limit them to 20 minutes? Are you not worried about the so called cells dying due to lack of oxygen?

I get pretty good circulation so I’ve started to extend my sets to 25 - 30 minutes. And, after a quick jaunt to the microwave and back I’m ready to strap in and do another set. For me, getting up and walking returns circulation to my junk quicker than milking. Trust me, I’m very careful. I’m just trying to maximize my hang time.

Same here. I got this idea from marinera. Very little rest between sets, but I’m not stretching really hard, though. I don’t have 20 pounds of force pulling on my penis where I need to clamp down my Redi-Stretcher really tight. I also put my rice sock on as I’m stretching so it gets plenty of heat and seems okay when I take it out of the Redi-Stretcher.

How much weight are you using?

Personally I’ve always considered the time you hang the time you are strapped in and hanging. However I don’t think BIB’s 4 hours a day is actual hanging time.

I would take his 4 hours a day routine with a grain of salt though. It’s all too convenient. Massive claims of gains and size sells hangers and a 4 hours a day routine should explain these gains. Hardly anyone can keep up a routine like that for too long so no one can disproof you would not get a huge penis from that routine. Keeps us guessing whether his claims are real or not ;)

I only counted actual time under tension. The total time involved is obviously considerably more.

Please update on how that works out for you. SPS (static progressive stretching) has interested me for several years. I haven’t tried it.

No problem. I actually got the idea from the information in this thread of yours. Stretchers and Stress Relaxation

I’m in the process of writing something up and will post it soon. I’m still experimenting with the setup and routine. I can say this though; I like it much better than hanging with weights.
