Homemade Tubes?

If anybody here from NYC is interested in making their own pump, there’s a plastic supply store and tubing place on Canal St. I already had a trigger pump, so the cylinder, tube, top cover, tube plug, base sealer and super glue only ran me $14 (not including tax).

plasticman,

If I hadn’t already accumulated my inventory of 5 cylinders, I’d probably pay a visit to the Canal St. supply store when we visit NYC for the holidays in a few weeks.

Forum Guidelines PAST: 5.25"L x 4.75"G (base),EBP (January 2001) / PRESENT: 7.50"L x 7.00G (base),EBP It doesn't happen overnight! Commitment! Focus! Patience!/ Main Routine = Pumping/Jelqing/clamping + Homedic TheraP or ACE Wrap TheraP or ACE Wrap

You know, I almost didn’t want to bother with making my own pump, but understanding how they work and being upset in some way with the pumps I’ve spent several hundred bucks for over the years (in total), this didn’t seem like such a fruitless endeavor. After much poking around and experimentation, it turned out I was right and I felt really stupid. You really can make a bare bones pump (without any tools if necessary) for pennies compared to a bunch of the commercial stuff. Not only was it significantly cheaper, my custom pump trumps the quality ones I bought online. Imagine that!

I have been thinking about making my own tube kind of like LAP’s. Is there a patent or anything that would prevent me from selling tubes like this? I have to buy the plastic in a 6’ length so the only way it would be cost effective is to sell off the rest of the tubing.

I doubt if you will be duplicating anyone’s cylinder exactly. Go ahead with the production line.

Hi all bought a pump from Colt, and I must say it’s’ good, the only problem being the gasket. Good advice from the forum here to go to Lapdist for the Cylinders. $$ Buko’s

I work in the swimming pool industry anyone for a 160mm dia tube ? ! Seriously though, I have investigated clear tube here (acrylic) and I have to buy clear in 3m lenghts (anyone for that one ? ) The fittings are no problem, apart from the Vac - quick de-coupler anyone know a supplier in the UK ?

Anyway I was running along the line of standard size = 1.25”, 1.5” 2.0” etc with a plastic baseplate (to stop the sack going in (not a good sensation) with a Silicone rubber flat gasket (with spares) so that chappie joe can get an adjustment for comfort as he gets bigger. This will then take up to “slack” by not being able to get a interim between 1.5 and 2.0”

Respect to Lapdist, this stuff is not cheap to buy, and I suppose more expensive to manufacture especially well.

Found some interesting stuff for cock rings 10mm diameter band for softer, more powerful grip.

Anyone think I’m mad ? Or am I thinking that this could be a good thing. Uk based, around London.

Give me some feedback if you want?

I made a tube out of a Paint ball carrying tube app 2 1/4 x 10 long
Can be bought at most paint ball supply stores 1 for app 3 or 4 dollars some tubes are thicker than others
It is sealed ( rounded) at the top drill a hole and add a fitting automotive vacuum fitting works
To take the bottom cover off just squeeze it to loosen the glue than it comes off
Than I rounded the bottom edge by heating it up and rolling it over

Like the tubes in the link below you can buy at many stores

Good recommendation! Looks like it has solid potential as a component in a good low cost system. With most of the fish tank cleaning cylinders being 2" or less, this option increases the range of sizes to choose from.

I made a tube out of a rain gauge. Since I pump the whole package, I had to find a bigger tube. This one is 4 inches across and 12 inches deep. I narrowed the open end to 3 inches and coated with a rubber compound for a better seal. Took some time to get it done but it sure was worth it.

That’s a large rain gauge. Where did you find that?

Here’s another option for a seal. Pumptoys has what they call their STJ Precision Seal , which is made for 4 inch diameter cylinders. For a little more money, they have the same Precision Seal in silicone .

Woody, I’m sure that you know that you do not have to pump yourself up to excessive size just because you’re using a large cylinder. For anyone else who may be checking out those pages, please note that the images you see there are NOT necessarily the outcome of pumping with a large diameter cylinder. More moderate results are possible with appropriate usage.

Lampwick, got the rain gauge at Gemplers (gemplers.com), it is the professional clear-vu rain gauge. I pump the whole package but I only pump to about 4 on my vacumn gauge. Thanks for the heads-up on the seals, if I need one thats where I’ll go.

For anyone else who might be interested, it’s on the Gempler’s site at .

I just made my first pump. It went like this:

Trip to “Petco” where I purchased a 2”x10” cylinder as part of a “gravel cleaning” kit for aquariums.

Trip to Home Depot for a can of “Plastidip” (color, yellow~ which to my mind seemed like it could be the least toxic)

Trip to Pep Boyz auto-store where I purchased a “Mityvac” trigger style vacum pump device.

COST: 48 bucks for the Mityvac
12 bucks for the tube
6 bucks for the can of Plastidip

Which brings my total cost to 66 smackers non-inclusive gas and time. Not bad!!!

After running around and getting everything, I came home and basically just used the fittings that come with the Mityvac to hook the pump up to the cylinder (after cuting the clear tubing down to a more manageable length).

Then, like any excited DIY PE’er I just could not wait to try it out so I treated myself to two 10 minute sets at 3.5 Hg after my usual workout.

WOW~!!! It felt really cool….until about halfway through the first set when I realized for myself why everyone was carping so loudly about this rig needing a seal. Ouch! Went through with it anyway and then, imediately after my sets, cleaned it up and started layering the opening with plastidip to make a comfy seal.

Then, as fate would have it, one of my chicas stopped by and gave me a massage and some backscratching which led to her, “smoothing down” my dick from behind as I lay on my belly…..well, from there it was but a piffle for my dick to wind up in her mouth. And then it happened~~~TEETH!!!

This chica has smoked my dick quite a bit and I NEVER felt any teeth before. When I commented on the teeth she looked up at me and said, “sorry! I know! Weird, right? Your dick is really, really fat tonight!”

Then it hit me! I’ve been looking at pumping as just another weapon in the PE arsenal, yet another way to
G-R-O-W. In my haste to add to my PE repetoir, I’d forgotten about mentions of using a pump as a sort of “secret weapon” to enhance the size of your unit before a lovemaking session.

Again, WOW~ I knocked this chica out of the park! Supposedly NOT a size queen, she was trembling in her knee highs when i finally tossed off.

A thousand thanks for all of the advice that the DIY’ers have given in here, it’s been a real help.

Here’s to a long and prosperous career of MODERATE and SAFE pumping!

To all the other pumping noobs- DO IT YOURSELF, it really is a LOT easier than it sounds.

Yup, and shipping costs, and the fitting to adapt it to the tubing.

I’m not normally a big fan of the Dr. Kaplan tubes, due to the tapering, but the large diameter cylinders do not have that characteristic, and you could probably get one of the Kaplan tubes for a comparable cost.

Example:
Kaplan 3x9" cylinder on eBay
for $39.99 plus 9.99 shipping. Or, for the same price, you can get 3.25x9".
