I want to try a water-based pump lube other than KY. Any suggestions?

Did a search, the threads I got were pretty old. Was wondering what is good these days.

KY works great for me but 2 issue. but I don’t much like the smell and I don’t much like smelling like a KY factory afterwards.

Silly I know.

My thought is I need a thicker consistency, thicker than something like astroglide. Or am I wrong?

Anyway what are you guys using.

When I was using my pump, I used a water based Johnson & Johnson lotion. It was silky smooth and didn’t run like Astroglide, and just had a light smell. When I was finished, I just rubbed it in and went on my way.

I use H2O by sliquid, it works very good, it stays slippery for a long time and it doesn’t get all sticky and nasty when it drys.

J-lube. It comes in powder form and you mix it with water to the desired consistency. The tub of powder lasts for ever!

Try the generic KY brands from Target or Walmart. Will save you a lot of money too.

Astroglide.

Sliquid ‘RIDE’ H2O is my choice. Ticks the slightly thicker, no smell box. Good stuff.

Yes I am using the Generic Walmart KY now. It is very cheap. Works perfect.

However I see I didn’t really explain my purpose in asking the question in my OP

This is really mostly a stealth pumping issue - So I am looking to find a stealth lube.

I am working on girth, and I am going to have ZERO alone time in the house this summer.

I can go off and find privacy in another part of the house to do PE, but others will still be in the house. Relatives, kids, visitors, etc

So … I don’t want to smell like KY jelly, I think most people know that smell and will jump to the conclusion of AH HE’S BEEN BEATING OFF AGAIN.

My plan prior to posting had been to switch to clamping for the summer, no smell to albolene.

But I’d much rather pump than clamp.

This may end up being something I just have to live with. Tried the astroglide, could not get a great seal with it.

Personally, I use ID SENSATION WARMING LIQUID. It’s water based. It doesn’t smell, and I had a good seal with it. It make your penis warm, too. :)

I haven’t pumped or used that lube in forever though. I wish I still had it, so I could test it out for you.

It has a very light smell, that is completely gone after washing with water. Add some soap, and you’ve got nothing to worry about.

You can try using your regular hand or body lotion with a little bit of water. Works for me.

Maybe try fragrancing the KY with something from the bath and body shop. Then whatever everyone smells will be your “signature” fragrance? There’s all kinds of subtle and appropriate fragrances in most shops.

gprent - do you worry about petrolatum or oil in the lotion damaging your cylinder?

clgp7 - good idea. That might be the perfect solution, easy enough to experiment with. I do use their bath gel and soaps. So it could be PERFECT.

RG - those user reviews of System JO H2O are very positive. What is the consitency like (say compared to astroglide) - thin?
