Let's start the adventure of pumping!

Hello. I recently ordered a pump from thickwall and used it for the first time. Started out slowly just feeling it out a bit so I didn’t overexaggerate. Went from between 3-5 Hg and didn’t force anything. I noticed I got some build up of fat or skin (?) by the base that looked like it didn’t belong. It’s hard to explain what I mean but maybe someone will know what I mean by it. Like I said, I started out slowly doing a couple minutes and then release. I continued this til I got comfortable and then did a 5 minute session and then a maybe a 3 minute one. I didn’t want to go to hard the first session so I think that was enough for the first time.

I don’t feel like my dick got any fatter after I got it out of the tube, is that normal or should I change something? I’ve read several posts that says that they get a fatter dick after pumping but I didn’t see a noticable difference. I also measured and it was the same as before. Do you think I am doing something wrong? I also received a erection ring made of a stretchy rubber of sorts. Also never used one so I don’t really know how long it could be used after a pumping session. Any advice?

I’ve been doing PE before and my routine was bascially only jelqing. It consisted of doing a warmup with a rice sock and then jelq with a lotion, not much, but enough to not make it uncomfortable. After that I warm down and then I’m done. I think I might include pumping after the jelq session. Is this a good idea or would you recommend to pump first and then do jelq?

Also, I forgot to add that I started doing o-bends in my routine for a month or so after the jelq. I’m not 100% sure if I’m doing them right. From the posts I’ve read many say that they’re getting plump or fat after doing them. I don’t. I’ve also read that they feel like the dick feels worked after doing them. I don’t really feel that way. I might be doing them wrong.

The build up of skin at the base is probably some of your scrotum being sucked into the tube. Try starting your session with an erection and bone press the cylinder into your crotch as you begin to pump up. That should help.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

I was thinking the same. I know from before that I have some “fat” or whatever it might be there. You think it will be an issue when pumping if I don’t get it rid of it? It doesn’t hurt or stay there after I release the pressure so I guess it might be what you said, some of my scrotum.

I didn’t, no. I got some erection ring, I think it’s meant for keeping the erection after you’re done. It was some rubbery knotted little penis ring of sorts, don’t know how to describe it haha. I’ve read that heat is really good for when you’re pumping. Are you going to use heat for your routine? I don’t have a heat pad, so I’m not sure what I could use instead. I always warm up with a rice sock before I start anything related to PE, but I don’t think that would work as well on the tube while pumping. Tell me about your routine and everything! What’s your stats and goals if you’re comfortable telling?

I just tried it out yesterday like I mentioned above. My routine going forward will be something like this:

Yep, I received that cock ring too, it was included in the starter order (gauge + cylinder), I bought a part that big silicon “isolator”.
Probably it prevents things such as balls “suck” while you’re pumping, but I will try without too.
My goal is +1cm in both ways (girth and length) I’ve already gained with manual about 3 cm in length so I’ll be realistic. Also, if I had to choose, I would pick girth gains any day.

Right now I’m 19,5 cm BP, 18,5 NBP
15,5/16 cm base girth that gradually, like a tree, gets thinner reaching a shy 13cm under the glans and around 14 mid shaft.
So a +1 cm girth in all the three areas would be nice!

Now I’m just playing around with the pump. Let’s say that in few days I’m planning to do 2 sets of 5 min pump at 3 inch/Hg; with, before after and between sets, some edging (with that cock ring we have!), some holds and warm up with hot water ( until I don’t figure out how to pump with water without make a mess or ruin the gauge!).

Maybe I should’ve thought about getting a sleeve myself, never even crossed my mind.
You have a big dick my guy! I’m looking to get more girth myself. I want it to feel fat in my hands, you know? I got quite big hands and 20kg overweight, so everything looks smaller unfortunately. Goal is about your NBP in length and I would be happy with gaining 1-2cm in girth. From the head and down to mid shaft is where I feel my dick is lacking at the moment, eventhough I would like more overall, but that’s where I’m hoping to get a bit more. I would be with my girth if it was around the same as my base girth. It thins out too much from head to mid shaft. So girth is what I’m after primarily. Length would be nice aswell, but I know that if I lose those extra kilos, more dick will show. It would be nice with a bit more length, but like I said, girth is what I’m after right now!

What was your first impressions using the pump? I thought it felt really strange but also kinda exciting in a way. I was tempted to go for more pressure but I would not want to injure myself so I respect the limits that are set for beginners. I hope to see that fatness for lack of a better word, after a workout. Are you doing any other workouts other than pumping? Or is this your only routine for right now? What was your manual routine?
I must say it’s nice to have someone to talk to that is also starting out at the same time with the same thing I am! Makes for great conversation. Hopefully we will see some gains in a not too distant future! Please share what seems to be working for you if there’s something you’re trying out!

I just finished my 2nd session with the pump. Todays routine which I think I will stick with is as follows:

Warmup 10-15 minutes with rice sock
100 jelqs
30 second o-bends each direction x3
Warmup
5 minutes pumping on 3-5 Hg
rest for a couple minutes
5 minutes pumping on 4-5 Hg. Also tried using a hot rice sock around the tube.

I finished the session with a 30 minute hard on with the erection ring.

Also, I used the rice sock one last time after the 30 min session. It feels good honestly. I really like pumping even after just 2 sessions. I hope this will give some results!

Yes, kind of the same impressions. But I’m really playing around and being careful. I easily over training even with average stuff, and also I need to warm up a lot. So I’m proceeding step by step.
I think that really good warm up, different +5 min sessions and edging with the ring will start lead to that fatness after work out.. But everybody is different.
Also they’re talking about filling the cylinder.I’ve bought a measure (2 inches and 1/4.I hate this inches measurements ahah) which is suppose to be right, and suggested here and also by the Thickwall’s guys.. The fact is that, tube looks huge! If I will ever fill that, I would be kind of scared I guess!

My manual routine was 30 mins manual stretching every direction 1-3 minutes x rep. And some jelq (I don’t react so good to it, I prefer holds of few minutes that imitate a clamp).

Now my routine will be just pump, edging and few holds. Girth is priority. Because if I gain in length and girth stays the same, paradoxically, my penis will be perceived as “smaller”, because my thickest part is on the first base centimeters.. If I can’t go balls deep no more, than the part inside would be smaller.. So no stretches (even if I think I would have to stretch an hour for months to see a bit of improvement!)

What was your routine before the pump?

Btw loosing weight is a good Idea, better NBPEL, better health overall (so also better erections etc.)! Basically, you have room for gains even without the PE :)

When I chose cylinder I went for a step up or just on the edge. Since my base has more girth and that’s apparently what you’re going after when when selecting a cylinder, I picked the 2.00 one. I read something about that if you want more girth specifically you should go for the size above and stay with the “recommended” for length. Don’t really know if that holds any truth to it but I went with the 2.00.

When I first started like 8 years or so ago, I did only jelqs in the beginning. I then proceeded to do stretches and jelqs. I never really did anything other than that back then. I’m not sure if i gained much from it since I only did it for about 3 months or so. But according to my log on thunders I measured less than I thought and when I started again years later I had gained a substantial amount.
When I started doing PE again I reall just did jelqs. I do about a 100 right now. I need to find a way to make it feel more, I feel like I’m not getting a good enough workout these days. Back in the day it felt exhausted after I did jelqs, but I don’t feel that way nowadays. Maybe it’s because it’s so used to it or something, I don’t really know to be honest.

Yes, I’ve lost about 15kg since January without really working out, just eating less and walking/biking to and from work and other places. That fat pad is a real devil for the gains, haha! I want it gone!

This is exactly why I can’t recommend the Zen Hanger Pump. Their base 100% prevents that AND it’s comfy AF! The gauge is in kpa measurements and it has a very handy clock.

Thick looking dick man! Like he said in the post, I think it might just be some of my scrotum getting sucked in. I’m not sure if it does much harm in terms of gains, but I wouldn’t think so. Also, so far the sessions have been great. Just waiting for confirmation in terms of the fatness and gains. Here’s to hoping they’ll come! :)
