Maintaining Pressure

Hi all,
I’m currently using a LeLuv cylinder in conjunction with a HFS 2 in 1 brake bleeder & vacuum test tuner kit. I pump for 20 minutes each session at 5 mmHg. What I’ve noticed, as I’m sure some have here, is that the pressure in the pump decreases during that time. What can I do to maintain the pressure at a constant 5 mmHg, or reduce the loss of pressure? I’m completely trimmed down there, so suction is not an issue in my opinion.

It’s pretty common for me to give the pump a couple of squeezes every once and a while to maintain pressure. Sounds like you have a normal slow pressure loss, or are you constantly trying to maintain pressure?

A couple guys helped me get a perfect seal every time. So maybe this will help:

Executive summary:

- lube your penis
- Lube the entrance of your cylinder w generous layer of KY jelly or generic (I lube about an inch or two)
- dip the entrance of the cylinder in water to “activate” the KY
- insert your penis into cylinder down to the fat pad
- press firmly, give cylinder a half turn left, then half turn right to seal it to yr penis
- pump

As gprent notes it is normal to pump up now and again.

@ gprent : I do have a slow pressure loss. I’ve timed it to 1 mmHg loss per minute on a stopwatch. Don’t know if that’s normal. I lose all pressure in 5 minutes.

@ sta-kool : I’ve read that thread, haha. I do everything that he mentions. Still no constant pressure. I guess everyone does lose it and keep an eye on it.

If you dont enter the tube fully erect you will lose pressure as you dick expands and fills the space. Also bend The vacuum tube from top to bottom looking for tiny cracks that are starting I had that happen and it befuddled me for a day and a half until it broke off and I dropped my pump! Then check the tiny little O-ring for bites being taken out of it from inserting it without lube on it, into the quick disconnect. I did that and it leaked just the way you’re talking about. Then when I did that it left a tiny little piece of rubber inside the quick disconnect causing even the new seal to leak until I picked it out of there.

@ sta-kool: I’ve tried dunking the base of the cylinder in water (about five inches deep) before applying lube to my shaft and the inside of the cylinder. I still lose pressure, but much, much slowly compared to before. I suppose adjusting pressure after every five minutes is something all manual pumpers have to live with?

@ Steinroid: I don’t really enter the tube fully erect. But I understand what you mean when you say that I would lose pressure when my dick expands. It does happen to me, but once I reach full expansion inside the tube, the loss is almost minimal. I will look into the other things you mentioned though, thank you.

A simple way to test a pumping setup is close the base of the cylinder with a couple layers of plastic wrap (food service film, Glad, Saran, etc) and keep in place with a tight rubber band around the base of the cylinder. Pump to various vacuum levels and see if it holds vacuum. Your gauge will show you if you have a leak. Initial vacuum level may drop a bit but should stabilize. if you have a leak then disassemble and start at the pump and test each component.

That’s better than my system of greasing up my leg and sticking the tube on that (which gives a big purple leg mark).

I tried the initial method of dunking just the base of the cylinder into water, then applying lube on the interior of the pump and also onto my shaft with a paint brush, which yielded good results, with me losing pressure very slowly. I tried something different yesterday, and found that it gives me constant pressure for the entire twenty minutes that I pump for. I fill the entire chamber with water, rinsing it before applying lube with a brush, and then pumped. No pressure loss. Works like a charm. I’m very happy with the results.

Are you shaving your pubic hair where the pump sits? That made a huge difference for me and when i go awhile without shaving it i notice the pressure fluctuations more. The other day i had it at 6hg and disconnected it from the pump. Put on shorts and went down stairs to get a bottle of water and an orange then came up stairs peeled it and ate the orange took off my shorts and put the pump back on it and it was about 5.5hg lol. It seals tight now.
