(Bugs my Boston Pump Cylinder is excellent. Customer service is real slow though)

Yes, I have heard great reviews regarding the Boston Pump Cylinder which is originally why I purchased their product. However, the customer service was horrible, not slow, horrible. I apparently was to blame for stripping the female coupler and any other problems that may have arised, that crack was part of the design (even the nick in the crack), I should not have ordered the same exact parts from a cheaper but credible company, and there was no chance for exchange or refund. The crack in the tube regardless of Boston Pumps Cylinder design was clearly the reason why the female coupler would not tighten completely. My LA pump’s coupler does tighten completely. I had offered pictures of their product but alas they were extremely defensive as if I was trying to rip them off! When I just wanted a functioning cylinder. I think I just had a deformity, a one in a million and I paid dearly for it with materials to repair the damned thing and the package itself. Hey, I had a bad experience but many here have not so go figure. Many here, however, have not had a defected product and dealt with their customer support. Their site is littered in non refundable, non returnable peraphanilia.

Errrrr.

Breathe

I’ve noticed lots of companies that have that attitude, especially in the computer world. Along the lines of

“You bought your graphic card from a cheap place? Well that is probably the problem and we can not help you.”

I would advise against a boston pump. Only because you are in Australia and if there were any issues you would have loads of trouble getting in touch with anyone, their customer service is terrible, but I love the cylinder it is so unbelieveably comfortable.

I actually just got my pump today from PictureBrite.com.not only was the package open, but the tube had motor oil or something all over it. There was also a crack in the gauge. Everything seems to work just fine, but I paid 60 bucks thinking I’d be getting a brand new piece of equipment. Anyone else had this experience?

I take it that you missed this thread and this post.

For Lampwick, becoming hung like a donkey was the result of a total commitment.

Just got my pump. It was well wrapped this time, had to get through 6 layers of bubble wrap!

The pump and hose aren’t in two pieces like the last one, there’s no cracks and the lid doens’t come off. Only thing not right is the gauge zeroing at 3Hg which is no big drama, I’ll just -3Hg off whatever it reads.

Bit awkward wearing this fucker espcially when sitting at the computer but I can see why so many like it. It’s a nice feeling. :)

I had a minor problem with my order from picturebrite (they sent me the wrong item). I contacted them and they were great about helping me. They dropshipped the correct item and told me that I could keep the wrong one if I wanted to (I returned it).

So don’t settle — cracked gauge, motor oil, opened package? Contact them, don’t be all “outraged”, be nice. It is possible that the item was opened in transit — if your package was insured you should be fine.

It’s great to see that good customer service hasn’t been totally thrown out the window. As sales dry up due to the economy, the smart ones won’t take customer service for granted.

Even though I recommended them due to their product (from what I’ve heard) but a few months ago I ordered a pump from Boston, I was waiting and waiting, being in Australia I gave it some time but then realised I never received a receipt or confirmation of order. I sent them an email and they came back with some really off hand comment that just put me right off and then they had the balls to ask me if I was going to continue with my order. I believe there was a problem with my card that needed sorting out but they never contacted me about it . If it was my company and I had a sale hanging out there, I would be all over it.

I don’t like to badmouth anyone and don’t want to jump on the bandwagon but my point is that even if you do have a great product, Customer Service is king. It can make or break you and create or deter customers from just the word of mouth with minimal effort of your own. I thought my experience was a one off and I’m kind of surprised that they are letting this affect their business.

It’s even better with a little bit of a heat source applied external to the tube during the session - heating pad or rice sock or microwaveable pad.

I sort of get into a meditative state when I pump — I find it very calming.

Lampwick scores again - another vote for keeping your cylinder nice and warm while pumping.

Damn piece of shit pump!

The handle on the pump snapped off! Dammit!

Looks like I’m saving my money for an LA Pump or equivalent.

Remember my earlier suggestion. Replace the pump with a good pump ((with a gauge) from an auto supplies store. Save the hose and the male adapter from the old broken pump. You’ll save money over getting a pump from LA Pump or such.

Money my friend, money. I can’t afford to spend alot at the moment. :)

This pump I bought had a guage built into it and the cylinder wasn’t 7-8” long which were two selling points for me.

I’ll have to start saving for some decent pumping equipment.

In the US you can buy an excellent pump for $20.00 US at the autoparts store.
This is the kind of thing you are looking for, I am sure you can find a good bargain in Australia.

This is the one I have:

Harbor Freight Tools – Quality Tools at Discount Prices Since 1977
Brake Bleeder and Vacuum Pump Kit —- $19.99

Apparently this is the same pump sold by LapDist:

Lap pump = harbor freight tools pump

Part 2:

I also hear the brand "mityvac" mentioned as what’s good for penis pumping and readily available in US auto parts stores:

Welcome to MITYVAC | SKF

So for example take a look at this VacuTech penis pump:

Deluxe Solo Pump — $75.00
http://www.vacu tech.com/prodde … asp?prod=100030

Then:

MityVac MV7000 Automotive Tune-up and Brake Bleeding Kit $38.25
