Selecting Your Cylinder Size

I have used the LAPump 1.5 inch wide mouth. It’s base measures 1.5 x 1.75 so it’s “diameter” is between 1.5 and 1.75 in an equivalent round cylinder or about 1.65”. I believe the Vacutech wide mouth 1.5 has a base of 1.5 x 2 so it accommodates a larger girth than the LAPump.

Accordingly, the 1.75 LAP would have a base measurement of 1.75 X 2 which would have a “diameter” of about 1.9 equivalent in a round size.

I have been thru several cyllinders. I found that a cyllinder which is “too long” ( IE: 2 inches or more greater than your BPEL ) will kill some of your enthusiasm for the pumping. It’s because it looks like it is going to take forever to reach the end of the cyllinder. A cyllinder from 1-2” greater than your BPEL keeps enthusiasm and confidence up in the pumping as your stretch toward the end of the cyllinder mm by mm.

My erection is 7.5” x 6.5” (7” base girth), and I’m using a 10” x 2.5” tube. I’m not hitting my length effectively, so I’m going to pick up a 10” x 2.25” tube and see if I get more length gains.

Big to bigger.

Length is not always achieved by pumping - some do and some do not. I pumped for over a year and gained no length though girth increased by 1/2 inch. Tiger Dave over at Pump Toys has been pumpinG for many years and reports not gaining any length. Yet, some members here have reported good length gains. I guess it depends on the individual dick.

Thanks, dtwarren1942. I am hoping I am one of the length gainers. Hopefully the 2.25” diameter tube will make a difference.

Big to bigger.

Does anyone know of any Canadian online retailers of pumps? every site I check has ridiculous shipping times and fees.

The pumps I see at the stores are all to big for me. What effect will a tube that is one size to big for me have? Based on the chart in this thread.

I just don’t want to go out and spend a lot of money on somEthing that might not work because its the wrong size for me.

Thanks in advance.

My base girth is 5 3/8” and I am 2” wide. Should I get the 2 1/4” cylinder? or the 2”?

Hi everyone, is pumping permanent or temporary? Thanks

I think you should stick with the 2”. You cock will just fill out nice and round.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Thanks gprent. Great thread.

Great thread. I currently use a 2.25 diameter cylinder with 5.5 starting girth. I’ve noticed that I’m making gains in girth but less in length. This inspired me to get a smaller 2” diameter cylinder to maximize length gains.

My situation is similar to allnighter, in that my cock’s girth (5 5/8”) suggests a 2” tube, but my width is a hair under 2”. Wouldn’t I want to have room for some width expansion, rather than just “filling out”? How is pumping going to increase my girth when there’s so little room for expansion?

Is the consensus to always focus on length gains before going for girth? I need both, but I’m at the upper limit for the 1.5 cylinder according to the first post.

I am aiming for length and my girth is 5.8". According to the table I’d have to use a pump with a 2" diameter. However, I’ve bought a pump (this one) with a 2.5" diameter, but with a 12" tube. So, would you say this will effect my goal in a negative way or positive?

The purpose of selecting the correct cylinder size is to make pumping as comfortable and effective as possible. With such a large diameter cylinder, you are likely to have you balls sucked into the tube making it uncomfortable or just a pain in the balls. If you are constantly fighting this, it will have a negative effect on your progress.
