Hi all!

Recently bought a basic penis pump. It’s only to get to grips with the basics of pumping, and for recreation.
After a few months, may look to upgrade to something like ThickWall.

That said, after a few pumping sessions I notice that it seems like my dick never keeps any sort of temporary engorgement from pumping. Is this normal? I feel like it isn’t, as some guides here, and product descriptions, mention the penis being bigger after a pumping session.
To clarify, my penis will engorge a lot from pumping yet after releasing the air, or pulling off the pump, it reverts back to normal like nothing happened.

I can get a seal just fine, and often jelq for about ten minutes afterwards.

How long are you pumping for and at what pressure ?

To maintain some temporary pumped girth you can use a cock ring or extend your session for at least 20 minutes.


Start 11/09 BPEL: 5.5", EG: 4.4"

Maintain my temporary engorgement with a tension band. However, if I pump for 20 minutes at 5 hg, I am able to retain some of the engorgement for an hour or two.

I’m experiencing the same problem with short lived pump even after 20-30 minutes of pumping at 4-5Hg. My penis stays pumped but it turtles a few minutes after pumping. Perhaps I’m over training but I don’t have any negative PI’S in fact I have frequent hard erections through out the day and morning wood is phenomenal. I’m going to start jelqing a few minutes after each pump session to see if it helps. Maybe I need to lay off the coffee.

It seems like you need to either have a longer session with your pump, or use a cock ring or edge after a pumping session to retain that plumpness from pumping.

Lower pressure longer time is the key.

2-3”hg and 40-60mins with comfortable heat.

I find that after a pump session I’ll go into ssj soon after for 5 minutes then strap on cock rings for 15-20 mins trust me it works! I think DLD mentioned this in he’s thread

I’m generally curious if this whole thing about temporary engorgement (not simply a full erection) is actually true after pumping as it was cited by users and product descriptions. Is it just buzz? Or are the effects minimal (but still noticeable by her, so to speak)?

It all takes time, longer session times and time spent doing them as in weeks/months.

It Is actually pretty normal for your size to go back to normal at the end of the session. Using rings and tension bands will help maintain the engorgement for short period of time, but eventually things will revert back to normal. The key to pumping is that the longer you do it, meaning over weeks and months, the longer it will take for your temporary gains to go away. Eventually, these gains will certainly become permanent.

One way you’ll know if you were on the right track is to check your hang a couple of hours after your session. Like I said before, you’re going to revert and lose some size after your session. But as the day goes on, the tissues tend to become more and more relaxed and the effects of the pumping will be evident with a slightly more flushed, plump, and heavier flaccid.

That said, the low pressure + longer time is interesting — I’ve heard various users/topics advise against this as being either dangerous or counterproductive.
Maybe they were just referring to starting off?

High pressure is dangerous, in any case. Marathon pumping (several hours) has it’s risks too, even with low pressure. Common sense and balance is the key.
