The Physics of Water Pumping

Given the lack of edema and air bubbles in the cylinder the volume of water in the overflow must somewhat relate to the volume increase within the penis.

Assuming air in the system is kept to a minimum, I’m sure there is a definite association. The less air, the closer the relationship is to 1:1.

I assume you are talking about the pressure differentlal caused by the water column issue. If so I agree. As others have written this effect is minimal and probably a distraction.

However I think there is more to this topic that is worth exploring

That is a similar effect as with a VACextender and why Monkeybar promotes the use of vacuum tape. To avoid blisters you have to make sure there is no air gap between the glans and the cup.

Correct, or at least that the glans are restricted from over-expansion. Her edema was extreme, there was blood starting to come out of her pores. It took like ten days to heal. A great, if rather unfortunate, example of the power of water pumping.

I had a similar experience with my first blister using the Vacextender. It was a large blister and blood actually forced its way through without bursting the blister. I had to clean out the vacuum tube with a needle. It took 3 weeks before I was game to extend again and then I got smaller blisters in the healed area. That’s what drew me to the DOY velcro strap. I caused it by getting over keen and both increasing the tension too much and extending for more than 1 hour at a time.

Yep, that will do it. Increased tension equals increased vacuum, just like milking the tube. Then leaving it at that vacuum a long time - bad news.

Sorry that happened, that doesn’t sound fun at all. But I’m glad the velcro mod worked so well for you.

What makes water pumping interesting at this point, is that you can target the bottom or top of your penis, unlikely than air pumping.

LOL, yeah we went round and round on that one!

kegeling

Noticed something interesting last night while pumping with my Mr Fantastic water pump. Kegeling would momentarily increase the vacuum by about 2” Hg as red on the pump readout. I often kegel while in the cylinder

Kegeling many times pulls the penis toward your pelvis, this is like jelquing the tube and will increase the vacuum.

An interesting experiment is to do a vacuum draw with you mouth on the hose to the tube. With air you can continue to pull with more and more effort. With water (and no air) once your tunica hits its max expansion, drawing more vacuum becomes almost impossible by mouth.

Its because the non expandibility of the water means you must expand the tunica to get more water out, and that may be quite a bit of force needed….at least more than I can generate by mouth.

I can tell you I have found water pumping more effective, add the effect of hot water and its even better.

Yes! The water draw by mouth is another great practical example of what I’m getting at!

So if you were to water draw by mouth, kink the hose and wait 5 minutes, put it back in your mouth and suck again, I’ll bet you could draw a little more water out relatively easily as the connective tissue of the tunica would have relaxed some.

Stress relaxation-based pumping. It always seems to come back to that for me… ;)

I wonder if cyclic or dynamic water pumping also involves stress relaxation. With each pump cycle the penis is stretched and you would expect stress relaxation to occur abet not necessarily after the first few cycles.

Yes, I like to do a water pumping and air pumping combo sometimes. I start out with water pumping then finish of with air..
The more hot the water is, the better and the more heat during the last session, the better.

But in my experience I target the entire shaft and head when water pumping also..

Not particularly, viscoelastic relaxation still happens whenever connective tissue is placed under stress, but using stress relaxation/static progressive stretch as the primary stretching modality means you must hold the tissue at a certain state of stretch until the tissue relaxes, then increase the stretch. Dynamic/cyclic pumping utilizes a revolving, but constantly applied traction force.
