True, carbs are a viable energy source. However, it does take some time/work for the body to adjust to fat adaptation which I think for those that can achieve this metabolic flexibility there is much to be learned. At the end of the day it’s fuel vs expenditure. Both carbs and fat are viable options.

Cycling the body between fat burning and sugar burning is of utility.

For those who have never cycled the body into deep ketosis, I recommend stepping up to the challenge. The body has a unique capacity of producing ketones to fuel itself in the absence of sugar. I don’t think it’s the condition we should always be in, but it is unique and comes with physiological symptoms that are of intrinsic value.

Installing the new noose resulted in being unable to get to max tension for a few days, but now we are back to max tension for the last three days however the duration has fallen off for the first session. However, today for the second session we were able to get to 57% of max tension, where ordinarily for the subsequent sessions I need to stay at low tension.

I bring this up because while this is a very very slow process, if you pay attention there are measures of progress available to you to assess progress. It’s not easy to navigate so you need that feedback to optimize your approach.

210 minutes in the extender at low tension. Reviewing my log this is the longest amount of time I’ve ever managed in a day. The installation of the new noose created additional tension so I needed to spend some time at the lower tension to condition the tissues. Somehow that provided the motivation to jump start it. I just tucked it in grabbing time whenever I could.

My ass is tired of sitting.

A big problem with extending is how time consuming it is, you just can not wear an extender in public so you are confined to private time which is a problem.

I have worn my extender at work totaling 1033 hours. So I personally disagree. Wear boxer briefs and it is pulled in on your leg. If you wear super tight pants it could be an issue, but even somewhat fitted pants I can get by. So the extender is the exact opposite for me than what you are saying. I love it because I am making progress while being productive.
