There are different types of ‘firm flaccid’. This site has been going for years, and it’s only relatively recently that this seems to be a ‘problem’.
Every single one of us who has overdone the PE has had the ‘firm flaccid’. It’s usually just the smooth muscle going into contraction in response to being over trained. It is absolutely nothing to worry about.
For some guys (quite a lot actually) it is a natural state - they have never had much ‘hang’ in their lives. Their penis is and always has been somewhat firm. In highly strung or nervous/anxious personality types it is common. That too is perfectly normal for them. Nothing to worry about.
Other things can cause it too. Stress makes it much worse. Most guys also get it after exercise when the blood is supplying other muscles in the body. Excess caffeine is a common cause.
A firm flaccid with normal erections is almost certainly a ‘normal’ penis. If you suspect anxiety is causing erection issues try putting postage stamps around your penis to see if you get night time erections. If you do, your bloodflow is quite likely OK, but if you have real erection concerns you should see a doctor.
Most of us have had veins or lymphatic vessels that feel like a ‘string of pearls’ too. It is usually caused when one of the ‘one way’ valves in the vessels are damaged and cause a restriction of flow. It can be caused by over-pressuring the penis with squeezes/ulis etc., and is quite common when first starting clamping, especially if the clamp is too tight or left on too long. I must have had them 20 times or more.
With daily heat and gentle (and I absolutely mean gentle, I cannot stress that enough) massage of the offending vessel, they usually clear up in about two to three weeks. You must not do any PE over this time, or for a week after they are gone, then start PE again very gently.
The more troublesome type of ‘firm flaccid’ which takes a while to heal, and that this thread should be about is when the natural state of your penis has changed and become the texture of a pencil eraser, really firm and ‘rubbery’. Again, for some guys, especially those who are anxious types, this can be a near normal thing. I’m not talking about them; I’m talking about guys whose ‘normal’ state suddenly changed and has remained like an eraser (without ever becoming softer), for at least a few weeks. If you don’t fall into that category, (and it is rare) then you have nothing to worry about.
Asprin and Ibuprofen act as anti-inflammatories. If your penis has suffered trauma (excessively hard or too much PE) you will have inflammation of the tissues which will contract when healing. Either drug may help with this, but most important is to avoid anything that will irritate the tissues such as hard masturbation. Gentle massage after the first couple of days will help with tissue fluid exchange and assist healing.
Asprin also helps to thin the blood and reduce clotting, which may be of value if there is damage to a blood vessel. Again, this should repair itself in two to three weeks with heat and gentle massage of the vessel.
