Howdy all,

Been jelqin on and off for about a year now and recently I’ve been thinking about adding an ointment for cooling down after each session. Im not too keen on leaving baby oil on my pecker and wondering if theres lotions or creams that could help promote growth/reduce skin irritation etc.., inbetween workouts. Im still trying to decide whether or not its even worth it in the first place… Anyone got info on this? Thanxs guys, HST

Hmm, I use vit E enriched baby oil or e45 cream, there are plenty of other thoughts here from udder balm to coccoa butter.

worth it in what sense?

I’ve been using Udder Cream lately. It isn’t greasy and works well for moisturizing, though it isn’t good for jelqing because it absorbs/dries quickly. I found it in the band aid aisle at Wal-Mart. It is better than any of the lotions I’ve tried. While it doesn’t promote growth directly, it keeps me from missing workouts due to irritated skin.

Note: Udder cream is different from bag balm. Bag balm is greasy, vaseline-based stuff.

Is that the same brand of udder cream that somebody put a llink on here a few weeks ago?? How much does it go for?? Does it help with “healing” and “softening”?? IOW, is it doing the job?

It is Udderly Smooth. Udderly Smooth® The 12 oz. jar (on left in picture) was somewhere around $3 - $5 at Wal-Mart. It was in the aisle with the band-aids, not with the hand lotions.

Works well, doesn’t smell, and isn’t greasy. I haven’t had any problems with dry skin since I’ve been using it. It works better for me than Lubriderm - which is supposed to be a pretty good lotion.

I had to ask at Wal-Mart where to find it, and the clerk I eventually found was an older lady who grew up on a farm. She raved about how wonderful it is. Several women customers overheard us and also mentioned how great it is. Seems to have quite a following.

I find this topic to be quite interesting and have investigated some options. The two oils that I like are emu and jojoba, both of these have some useful properties.

First off, jojoba’s chemical properties are very similar to a substance found in the skin (sebum). Although technically it is a liquid ester, it is not subject to oxidation as other vegetable oils are. I used this for jelqing sessions.

Emu oil has some remarkable properties, it is both an anti-inflammatory and a trans-dermal absorption agent. I’d apply this after a session and found that there was very little swelling experienced. I’ve also used calendula, allantoin, and colostrum and mixed them with emu into a paste and applied them on my days off (Fri & Mon). Let me know if you want to know more about these items. This treatment seemed to really help as the next day’s session could be a major workout with only a “comfortable soreness” as a result.

Something else that I’ve tried is what I call “erectisize”, where I try to maintain solid wood for a half hour to an hour. This was done with the emu oil, and kegels were done to maximize things. After a couple of weeks of this I found that I’d get pretty rigid as soon as the oil was applied, almost like it was being trained to do so.

Using other oils, either petroleum or mineral oil based or other creams with lists of ingredients that I was totally unfamiliar with gave me some concern. I am rather picky about the oils that I use in cooking (no trans fatty acids, or nasty hydrogenated oil) and felt that there should be some discretion regarding oils used even topically (as this will be absorbed somewhat).

If there are any other interesting “home brews” out there I’d like to hear about them.
