I am a long time lurker of this site and have suffered from PrE since my teen years and would like to share my experiences being in my 40s now. I truly believe everyones cause for PrE is unique to each person and that’s why somethings work for one person and not another and you have keep going to find what works for you even if it takes years.
I first started out trying different anti depressants which was the first thing to actually allow me to last longer than a minute. Problem was as time went on I became tolerant of them and would have to take stronger doses. Which in turn brought on really nasty side effects which caused me to stop them all together.
Next I tried doing Kegels but I was not disciplined enough to keep at it and follow a program to strengthen my pelvic muscles and I didn’t see any positive results short term as nothing was changing(will come back to this later).
Next was Chinese creams, balms or what ever you want to call them to reduce sensitivity. They worked for masturbation but for the real thing it was a failure at the normal minute mark. Next was focus stimulation on certain areas as I was thinking maybe I was over sensitive so I focused on death grip and stimulating key spots of my genitals and masturbation wise progress was made but when time for real thing was still a failure.
Next was edging and reverse Kegels. Tried both for a while and during masturbation time was extended but when trying to apply to the real thing again it was a failure.
Many years went by during these many trial and errors of discovery. Eventually I found my way back to Kegels again only this time now there are phone apps that can help me maintain and track an exercise programs. Over time I could hold a kegel for 20-30 seconds which I could only hold for a second or two before. Around the same time I started reading the multi orgasmic man book and the process it involves. It basically was the edging I tried once before but I was focusing more on separating the orgasm from ejaculation. Separating them I thought was idea I never thought about. After many bouts of experimenting with myself with the process of the book. I was able to pull it off to where I was able to keep going after reaching PONR thanks to a now strong Kegel muscle. Each time I got to the PONR and I paused and clamp Kegel down I can feel the prostate start an orgasm cycle and when it stops I can start going again with no urge to ejaculate. I could do this many times and each time I could go longer before I got to PONR. And for the first time in many years I was able to go as long as I wanted with the real thing without drugs and it became a life changing experience. I am at the point now where I have total self control to where I just do daily exercises with my Kegel app to keep my pelvic muscles strong and any time I have sex I can easily separate ejaculation from orgasm and be in total control.
I am posting this in hopes that maybe it will help someone else. I know there are other posts on the subject but I wanted to detail my success story from actually sticking to it and getting results after all these years and not giving up.
