I've cured my premature ejaculation

Your body will try to ejaculate, but you must have great control over your body so that you have the orgasm but don’t ejaculate. This is what I call a non-ejaculatory orgasm, it`s a mental control over the orgasm and it`s not done by flexing the PC muscles or something like that. You could try to do it while awake(read xenolith`s sexual kung fu thread) , but for me it was easier while sleeping(in the morning especially).

You say that you never had a wet dream, maybe because you ejaculate often, so your body has/had no reason to ejaculate while sleeping. But now that you are on a “break” , your body will try to ejaculate while sleeping, but try to control your self and not ejaculate.

So you are giving up on this because your girl is coming Monday? So what if she`s coming Monday? If you`re not gonna ejaculate or if you`re not gonna have sex with her she wont come anymore? Tell her you`ve got more important stuff to do than 3 minutes of sex. You yourself must take a mental control over this. And especially this thinking of yours “I`ve got zero libido” is doing you no good. Just like when a guy thinks he`ll go limp with the girl…well…guess what happens when he`s with the girl.

OK, this SSRI thing - is this a reliable cure for premature ejaculation? Are there guys who tried it and didn’t experience any improvement?

Have you had your hormone levels tested by a doctor?
I suspect the levels of free testosterone in your body are low.
If this is the case, you can increase them by taking standardized nettle root extract. This has a net effect of increasing the amount of free testosterone in your body. (increasing sex drive)

I’ve also tried everything, kegels, acupuncutre, thinking of something else, hypnosis, etc. My case is actually getting worse. I can’t last for more than 10 seconds while having sex, and I can’t last for over a minute when masterbating even.

Dude I feel for ya! You must be even more frustrated that I was. I certainly think you would be a candidate for Paxil (in the U.S) /Seroxat (in the UK). Don’t be afraid/embarrassed of talking to your doctor about it. Just bite the bullet and get this problem sorted once and for all.

I don’t know how much dererol costs but the Seroxat cost me less than £15 ($25) for more than 1 months supply. So it’s very cheap. (The accupuncture was costing me £120 per month!!!)

It is a reliable cure see the link earlier in the thread for medical studies that proove it. However bearing that in mind, drugs effect different people slightly differently. But one good thing is that SSRI’s are relatively cheap and only take one minute of your life each day. So it’s not a huge commitment to test it out.
If it works for you, then welcome to the rest of your life. If not, then hey you’ve wasted $25 and 30 mins over one month. I would say it’s worth the risk, but your choice…

Nemanja, ask your priest first…

Seriously, ejaculatory problems (and diminished sex drive) are considered a sideeffect of Seroxat - unwanted - and it is a relatively common sideeffect. But not everyone experiences that sideeffect. I experienced superduper delayed orgasm but it didn’t hit my sex drive. Other SSRIs have slightly different sideeffects, Efexor is reputed to leave the sex drive intact but it didn’t for me, nor did it affect my staying power very much.

But SSRIs have lots of other sideeffects as well - increased risk of suicide during the first 2-3 weeks of taking Seroxat, forinstance, or nighttime sweating and bad body odor, dry mouth and so on. So it’s not like SSRIs are the first option to try.

LOL, that’s a good one! So, you remember my discussion about acupuncture. Well, after doing some more research I concluded that it’s not wrong to try it, and I did. I had some 14 sessions, but I didn’t experience any improvement. I don’t think that it means that acupuncture doesn’t work. But it seems that for a problem like mine, it would take several months of treatment to cure the problem, and I have no money for it (especially because this practitioner I went to lives in a city some 380 km away.

I have tried most other options. :(
Now I need to ask something else. Since in my country we have different drug manufacturers then you in the USA or in the UK, I don’t know how to find the proper substitute for that Seroxat. I don’t think it would be too difficult finding a doctor to prescribe it, the problem would be what to prescribe. Where could I see the ingredients of Seroxat?

Seroxat’s active ingredient is Paroxetine.

Read up on the possible sideeffects - I found that excessive yawning (like 50-100 times per day, or so it seemed) was quite annoying, and embarrassing in social situations. SSRIs are drugs that alter your brain’s chemistry. They are not to be taken at a whim. There are no long-term studies, SSRIs have only been around for 10 (15?) years, we don’t know what the long-term effect of high (or low) doses are.

Having said that, going at very low doses you probably will not have all that strong sideeffects, and I myself would not hesitate that much if I have to choose between depression and medication.

OK, so, in your country’s market, Seroxat is the only SSRI with Paroxetine? I see you mentioned an another drug, Efexor, and it didn’t help you. So, that one didn’t have Paroxetine, did it?

And did you continue to yawn as long as you took Seroxat, or only in the first few weeks? Did your improved ejaculation control hold even after you stopped taking the drug?

I have already found out the name of the drug which contains Paroxetine, and which is on the market in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Here the drug is called Deprozel.

Nemanja,

I took Seroxat and Efexor on two different occasions, both of them because I suffered from depression. Both helped with the depression, which was the point. Sideeffects were more obvious/severe in the beginning (first month or two) but they did not go away, and they were slightly different. I had more trouble with yawning from Seroxat than from Efexor.

I would like to point out that it wasn’t really a question of “improved ejaculation control”, it was a question of having a hard time being able to ejaculate. At times I had to stimulate maximum - just like King_G notes above - and kegel down all I could to bring myself to orgasm. While it may have been impressive, it wasn’t really all that pleasureable at times.

mgus,

OK, but tell me - do you still, how should I say, ejaculate in the same way as you did while you took Seroxat, or did you return to your usual habits afterwards? And have you EVER suffered from premature ejaculation? My guess is - if you haven’t then your difficulty in orgasming only confirms that this medicine helps guys with premature ejaculation. If quick comers gain more control with a medicine, it’s only logical that “normal” guys can hardly orgasm at all when taking it.

My point is that my experience was not about “improved ejaculation control” - that sounds very nice to have - rather that ejaculation (and orgasm) became more difficult to reach. I guess it is semantics whether or not that is “control” but to me control has more to do with “choice” than with “difficulty to obtain”.

And no, I have not suffered from premature ejaculation before, during or after - I guess I am fairly normal. And no, the effect did not last after I had gotten off the medicine (to those who say “placebo”, I say “ignorance”). Today I ejaculate as maturely as I did before.

Then your experience obviously confirms the theory. Low doses of Paroxetine are the way to go for quick comers (if nothing else helps, at least).
