Back injury causing my premature ejaculation

I’ve been suffering from a chronic back injury for a couple of years, and as a result of a back brace, my core strength has weakened dramatically. I’ve been doing pilates and have been told my core stability is really poor.

So, to get to the point, is it possible that my back injury is causing premature ejac? I’ve been kegeling for the last couple of months and noticed a difference in how long I can hold the pelvic muscles, but I still come after a couple of minutes of intercourse. Do you guys think that the problem would be helped if I could get my back sorted and thus begin more intensive core exercises?

The only way I figure it would affect, is that you - due to weak core - clench whatever muscles you have when making love, and that would include BC-muscles. For me at least, keeping them clenched is a way to speed up coming.

Do you suffer from premature ejac when masturbating, or when your partner rides you, or when being given a blow job? Especially the last would allow you to relax in a different way. Also if there is a significant difference between you lying on you back - hard surface, relaxing - and being ridden, then tensing up may be a part of the problem.

If there is no real difference, my bet you have two separate issues to tackle.

Because making love is hard work on the lower back, you may have subconsciously decided that prolonged love making would cause your back pain to become worse, so the premature ejaculation may be a self-protection response.

The only time I don’t suffer pe is in the morning, when I’ve had a few drinks and when getting blow jobs, as you said. Do you think that corresponds to your theory that it’s due to clenching? As those activities involve relaxation I suppose.

My “theory” is only a hunch, mind you. Drinks would affect your mind as well as your back, hard to say. Some people have this thing about not coming as easily from blowjobs. I’d try the riding thing - consciously relaxing. Maybe put a small pillow under your butt, to make it easier for your partner to grind down onto you.

If you still have problems, then my guess would be it’s not the back.
