I think 5.5 inches of girth is on the high end of average. 4.5 - 5.5 inch girth at midshaft is something that most women will come across and isn’t out of the norm. It’s where your midgirth is in the 6 inch range and up that you girth is in the big or huge territory. Kdong’s stat analysis is correct. However the mean penis girth in the Cancun study was greater than the median penis girth (4.7”) (see the Mr Average site or the charts reproduced in Wikipedia). The difference without doubt reflects a bias towards guys with bigger penis’s being overrepresented. If we take 4.7” as the true population mean (probably still too high) a 5.5” girth is more like 1 in 10 or less.

Yes, I agree. Earlier in life I was probably around that girth at the base, and even at that size I was told that I was just a little uncomfortable for a couple of lovers who said they were sore after intercourse.
