Ligament ache pain, good or bad?

Ligament ache pain, good or bad?

I’ve been doing 2 sets of 15-20 min manual stretches (down and straight out) per day for the last week, along with 100-120 wet jelqs.
This morning and throughout the day I’ve been feeling a dull pain on both sides of the base of my penis in what I assume are the ligaments (def not the skin). Momentarily the pain increases slightly and goes into the lower end of “burning” .well not really “burning” then but rather “glowing” (if you catch my drift :D ).

I have read that a dull pain in the ligaments is a sign that you have achieved the wanted effect - tissue breakdown.

My questions: is this pain a good or a bad sign? When I get this pain, should I rest until the pain is gone and then resume stretching, or continue stretching with same (or lower/higher) intensity ?

It’s a No No pain plain and simply an injury you should rest by taking at least a week off if not more just relax and think of something else to do and get plenty of warm baths or things that help you relieve the pain some analgesics taken orally will also help

I’ve read that pain is bad, but a dull sensation is okay. In both cases, I think you should rest and stop any PE until the pain/ache goes away. Once there’s no odd feeling you should be healed again and good to go. If pain happens during the exercise rather than after, that means lessen the intensity. This isn’t one of those no pain: no gain situations. It’s No pain: gain.

A mild ache is OK. Pain is not. Continuing to stretch is OK as long as you don’t make it worse. As the ligs will already be ‘tired’ it is easier to create an injury at this stage so take it easy. Some hangers try to get to the ache stage and keep it there as much as possible, but its a fine line between that and doing too much.

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. The ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth. Basics.... firegoat roll How to use the Search button for best results

Its hard to stop completely at this point, as I was getting very into it. Even had a dream where my dick was totally enormous and I was fucking ultra horny women in a prison (wtf?), having to squeeze into them.

I just have to ask about the whole theory though: as I understand it, the purpose of stretching and ads in combination is that stretching tears the tissues apart and, using the ads, the tissues are healed in the elongated state, causing the elongation. This is how it was explained to me 2 years ago, when last I was actively reading on TP. Has the theory changed or is this still the consensus?

(Sorry about grammar, I’m swe)

Yes, this is what I’m considering. Is it a mild ache or a pain? This procedure is what I was taught when I was learning about PE initially, and it goes with the theory in my last post. A theory witch I believe in btw, since its logical.

I don’t want to lose my stride here and I would love to continue stretching, even lightly.

How do I better judge what type of ache I have (the good or the bad kind)? Any experienced stretchers/hangers with gains who can help me gauge my ache? Perhaps you, Firegoat?

You don’t want to be ‘tearing the tissues apart’. I explained a bit of my theory (simplified) here: /forum/showthread.php?t=98301

Ache is ache, pain is uncomfortable!

I read that part of your theory and what I gather from it is that basically at this point in western PE (I say western because this has apparently been done for ages in the middle east and northern africa) each individual need to “find what works for him”. I will continue a light stretch today, and see if I can bring down the dull ache a notch by tomorrow, then I will try to keep that lower dull ache alive.
If the ache increases, I will stop stretching completely until it goes away.
This ache is not uncomfortable. I can move unhindered, even in the gym.

When I said “tearing the tissue apart” I might have sounded drastic. As I understood it, there must be some form of tissue damage, however small, for the body to begin repair.

I read further into the thread you linked and found your link to a book about plastic deformation. I will read it and get back to this thread when I have made my own sense of it.

Ok so I read the “plastic deformation ligaments” google books link in your linked thread, Firegoat, but I can’t say it gets me closer to a conclusion. Unless I misunderstood the text, I was at least right in assuming that I will need to create some type of damage within the ligaments (molecular deformation of the collagen) to induce what they call “plastic deformation”.

Maybe I should visit the hangers forum to get an analysis of the nature of my ache? Those hardcore guys should know :D

Is bad. Rest. You don’t want to have a tendinositis and anyway overstretching ligs won’t give that much erect gains.

I never gained without aching. So its needed for gains.

Ok. Can you describe the “good” ache from reaching “fatigue”? The one we want to have?

I need to know what ache to look for, in order to do this properly.

(Btw, I’m guessing you mean “tendinitis” - inflammation of a tendon?)

You can sometimes feel little ache while doing nothing. Sometimes you only feel it when you stretch your penis towards the floor. You don’t want any sharp pain.

For me, this ache feels kinda good. So it’s not painful at all. It’s like growing pain in legs while I was a kid.

I never had pain while having gains. ‘Aching’ - I had a very, very light burning while using an extender; I don’t hear much speaking of ‘aching’, ‘good pain’, ‘fatigue’ (which no one has given any elucidation of what it is, by the way; ‘fatigue’ is NOT supposed to be aching or pain). Neither pain either aching is required to have gains: so true that you never hear clampers, pumpers etc. speaking of ‘good aching’ and having so much doubts about the influence of discomfort on gains. The sole people who go on wondering about that are hangers - and those who plain to start hanging, so who try to reach a similar feeling (the supposed good aching) hangers go on speaking about. The same kind of people who you find always preaching their mantra and after 5 or 10 years have the same gains that people who doesn’t care about some supposed holy laws have in 1 or 2 years.
