The winning horse theory

This type of statements is often made in here and always makes me wonder a little. I know that a lot of people have specific goals they want to achieve - and mostly as fast as possible.
In my humble opinion PE is a game of consistency and patience. The Newbie routine is not only a beginning into PE, it is per se a solid combination of the basic components of PE: stretching and jelqing. Add Kegel exercises to it and you have a proved and quite safe routine to go with.
Now safety is a big concern - all advanced routines include a higher injury risk. My feeling is that a lot think that “advanced means better”. But advanced means advanced, not forcibly better. Just more specific to a single goal.
A lot of Newbies may consider the Newbie routine as mandatory entry process to get to the “real thing” - whatever advanced exercises these may be. I admit my beginning in PE was similar - I wanted to get into pumping as fast as possible.
But the more I learned here the more I am convinced that consistency is a key element. Just imagine you make a 0.25” BPEL and a 0.1” MSEG growth in the first 12 weeks. You then go for clamping (in your situation) and after another 12 weeks you notice 0.2” girth growth (nice and probably desired) but no BPEL growth. My question is then: why did you deselect a routine that brought good results in length AND girth? Attention: this is an example, not a prognosis!
And that’s all about this theory: never change a winning horse. If a routine brings good results, and the PI’s are positive, stick to it unless the results are stalling for at least 1 measuring period of 1 month.
I have to be precise: this is NOT a statement against clamping or any advanced exercises. I just think that a lot of beginners give up a successful routine instead of keeping it and getting good success.
Just my 2 cents
Anyhow: welcome to the club and a big wish for great results.
