Measuring the curve?

Hi all,

I have an upwards curve when erect, and my initial measurement with a tailor’s tape gave me a BPEL of 7 1/4”. I haven’t measured with a straight ruler yet, but I will this weekend and I suspect the measurement will be in the 6 1/2” range.

My question is this: With an upwards curve, should I be measuring with a flexible tape that can run along the entire length of the penis, or should I be using a straight ruler? I don’t care about showing a longer or shorter measurement, I just want to make sure I will be measuring growth properly.

Thanks.

If you do it the exact same way every time, you will be measuring growth properly.

Sept. 4, '07: BPEL 6.875 inches, EG widest 5.25

Goal: Double digits

The thing about my curved penis is that I cannot straighten my dick (when fully hard) against the ruler properly.

People here have said however to use a ruler and that using a measuring tape is the wrong method. But I still don’t understand why.

Maybe because you can't measure BPEL with a tape? All you are measuring with a tape are variations in your fat pad — weight gain, weight loss, water retention from how many salty foods you ate that day. I don’t think you can really track PE gains with a measuring tape.

WideLoad::

Things are a little tricky for me too:

— I point to the left (imagine your penis is saying “Hey YOU!!!!!!! – look over there!)
— I also curve to the left
— I have a U-curve.

How I measure:

Basically, I take the ruler in my right hand, put it on top of my penis, press into bone so that the ruler’s edge is in the middle at the base of my erection.

I then use the left hand to straighten the left curve so that the tip of my glans is likewise lined up, with the the edge of the ruler right in the middle of the meatus.

Then I use the left hand to “flatten out” the U-curve, so that the top of my penis is finally flat against the ruler.

As chronostone says, the main thing is consistency — as long as you measure the same way every time, you can track your gains.

I have a curved penis, and luckily it’s not so pronounced that I can’t straighten it out against a ruler when I measure length. However, it does mean that it’s almost impossible to take a picture of it while I’m measuring, unless I clamp the camera between my chin and collarbone.

Thanks for the tips guys.

When erect, my penis is far too rigid to straighten out against a ruler, there is no give whatsoever. I guess I will measure straight up from the base against the bone and record measurements with both a straight ruler and a tape. I will post the straight ruler measurement as my BPEL.

Thanks again, and good luck all!

Go by the tape measurement, WideLoad. No matter how it bends, it’s all your flesh. Just press the end into your fat pad as far as you can, lay the tape against your shaft, and you will have a legit BPEL measurement.

For guys with pronounced bends or curves, a straight ruler measurement is not a realistic gauge. After all, with erections it is sex that is important and none of us is having sex with a ruler taped to us. :)

Don’t worry about what people think around here, it is the gains that count.

Some guys don’t post their absolute stats, they just talk about the gains.

Thanks avocet8 and chrono.

I will post my stats with the tape measurement, but i will also show the measurement with a hard ruler. It will be interesting to see how my gains (if any!) relate to the 2 different ways of measuring.

I use both just to be accurate and show the significant difference between the 2 methods. I also had questions about this dilemma…Measuring tape or ruler?

Hiya. So if it is impossible to straighten ones penis against a ruler, a measuring tape should be used? This won’t provide too many inconsistencies, will it? Am I cheating myself (not in terms of gains- but how long my dick really is?)?

I feel that measuring gains with a ruler is a consistent method. I have always done it this way, but recently I bought measuring tape used for sewing. I have a downward curve(wish it was an upward curve) and I find I am bigger than I thought. When using a ruler I am 6.25”NBP but with the tape I am 6.5” maybe a little more. If the vagina forms to the penis doesn’t that mean it is forming to my 6.5”?

I just wanted to get some input so I know I am not lying to myself and/or getting my hopes up. Also I thought I had an even 5”EG but with the tape it shows 5.25”EG(I know the tape isn’t off because I lined it up to my ruler and it’s right on)

They way I think about it, if a woman is going to eat a sausage it doesn’t matter is she bends it, she’s still going to eat it all. ;]

Pre-PE: 6.5" BPEL x 5.0" EG-------> Current Stats: 8" BPEL x 5.25" EG-------> Goal: 9" BPEL x 6.5" EG - 7" BG

See what chronostone said in post #2.
