I´ve read some pages about PE with different opinions on pauses.

Some say you should do the newbie routine 2 days-1 day off,some say 5 days on-2 days off and some even say that especially during your first weeks shouldn´t even take a day off.
Some distinguish between jelquing and streching concerning the pauses.

What do you recommend?

When you start off initially, 2 On and 1 off is recommended as your dick is not used to the strain. A month or so later you could hit 3 on 2 off and then subsequently hit 5 on 2 off. IMO, 2 on and 1 off is best because the dick is comparatively a very small tissue and hence working it for 2 days on then resting it for a day seems apt. That said, there are many guys here who hit 5 days straight with an intense routine. I guess it finally boils down to conditioning yourself.

Well.. Thats a cntradiction now. Do you need to condition your dick for a PE regimen? I, believe that when you work 5 day straight, the body works harder to repair & heal itself thereby conditioning itself for a heavy workout, which IMO, implies that you may have to increase the duration/intensity of your workouts inorder to get the same workout effect. So, conditioning maynot be a good thing at all?

Most of my gains have come when I have worked 2 on and 2 off. Sometimes, 2 on and 3 off. With some people the “Less is more” approach works. I’d recommend you stick to the newbie routine. PLay around for a month with 2 on 1 off routine and maybe the next month you could try 5 on 2 off. Assess your gains each month and see whats working for you best.

Some time off is vital. Everyone is different in their recovery times. If you start to lose morning wood, or it isn’t getting as hard as normal, or it’s sore or aching etc. you are overtraining. If you are getting good results, fine. If not, experiment with a little more or less. You have to learn what works for you.

I agree! I started on the newbie routine and some months later started clamping still using the the newbie as a warm up before the clamping exercise. I saw good gains. I then left the newbie routine and started the next routine where the number of times of stretching, jelqing Etc. increased and took longer time and then clamping. I did this for about a month and a half. No gains, none what so ever. I then went back to the newbie routine plus the clamping. The gains came back. I found what works for me. To much does not work for me. Also, I mix it up a lot on a weekly basis, for example, 1 day on 1 day off, 4 days on 2 days off, 2 days on 1 day off. your body can get accustomed to the same routine. This is very true in body building. take the days off spontaneously. Wake up in the morning and ask yourself, ‘do I take today off or not’, but don’t plan for it. I find this works better for me. Also, recently I took 2 weeks off, came back on the newbie for 2 weeks then started clamping again. for me this was very beneficial, cause it gave my dick a chance to rest. Then again, this works for me.

If you go the Cure for Discoloration I post my past experience about this. The Beasty One suggested that I was a walking example against the conditioning advice/theory, which he meant no harm to me. The more I think about it, the more I think he maybe right.

Everyone is different,but I think it also matters what your routine is,how intense.

I do some 20 minutes of streching followed by some 15 minutes of jelquing,and I have no days off….and me and my dick feel great!Morning wood,strong erections….I’ve experimented with days of,tried 5 on 2 off,3 on 1 off,every possible combination and this moderate routine with no rest days works great for me,but I think the main reason for that is because it’s a mild routine-but I am gaining from it.

I agree that this works well once you are very ‘in tune’ with your penis. If you ask it nicely, it will tell you what exercises are going to do the most good or if it wants a day or a week off. PE is ultimately very intuitive. The natural tendency is to over do it, especially if you have more time than normal, so it’s better to listen to your penis than the voice in your head that says ‘more is better’.
