question about lengthening surgery

I’d start out slow and low and then increase very gradually if I were you. Have you read the “Is less more” article?

Ok now I understand the surgery, this is the surgery virtually on youtube! Freaks me out a little. Is this really how they do it?

The international phalloplasty institute, recommends only 3 guys for the lengthening surgery. You guys here anything about these guys?

I’ve met Perovic, but haven’t had surgery with him. He’s probably the most well respected urologist in the world. I’m not sure how one would qualify a statement like that, but he certainly seems to be the most respected by his peers. However, he’s pretty old, was recently quite ill (hospitalised) and I think his assistant Dr Djinovic does most of the actual surgery and also they work mainly in Serbia. I really wouldn’t recommend going all the way there for lig cutting. I’ve spoken to Krakovsky, but not met him. He is also very old and not a urologist. The last I heard Rosenthal was leaving the PE surgery business, but this information might not be right.

In North America, in terms of reputation, I’d say Gary Alter is the number 1 choice. But I still think you shouldn’t have this surgery.

Also I doubt the recommendations of the International Phalloplasty Institute is of any real value. I doubt gaining membership is particuarly tough. It seems you don’t have to even be a urologist to join.

If you inssit on getting this done, then pay the extra money (he’s expensive) and go to Alter.

Yes, to be a member of the International Phalloplasty Institute all you need do is complete a 3 day course and pay $12,000 ….. seems you don’t even need to be a medical doctor to qualify! It’s a professional membership, nothing more …. and it’s tax deductible! In my books, not a very high recommendation.

I’d recommend seeing a counsellor before anything else - 60% failure rate, surely you’re not seriously considering this nonsense?

Thanks for this Joey. Interesting, so your saying Alter. What’s so great about him? Great reputation and success rate? Dr. Krakovsky’s website sell’s it pretty well, how they explain how they do aggressive lig cutting. I could go back to the website and quote, but this grabbed my attention. Saying that some doctors won’t cut enough, or too little etc.

It just looks so fake, plastic and obvious! I wonder how many surgeries were botched before they could get those photos - they’ve only got the one lot and that guy had at least 2 surgeries and he doesn’t appear to have gained much in the way of length at all. And when he’s flaccid, he looks half hard - you wouldn’t catch me dead in a locker room with that - walking around in a locker room with (what looks to be) an erection can get you arrested for indecency! And if there happen to be kids around …. well, we won’t even go there - the consequences could be devastating!

Perhaps I’m wrong, but it looks like another case of a website designed to get referral fees to pay for fixing the owner’s botched surgery - seems to be an increasingly common practice these days! :chuckle:
