Returning veteran. Then vs now. Some tips for newbies
Hey all. PE veteran here, just getting back to it after not exercising for a long time. They say hindsight is 20/20, so let me share for newbies and vets alike what I have learned.
Circulation: When I was last doing PE, I had poor circulation. I think part of the reason I stopped was due to frustration. It seemed every two jelqs I was having to stop and get myself hard again (okay it wasn’t that bad, but I digress). Over the last four years things got really bad. I sat at work, and sat at home. I was having trouble getting myself hard just to masturbate, never mind sex. Sex not happening due to an inability to get hard was not an uncommon occurrence. My current job I chose in part because I needed to lose weight, and I had no motivation to go to the gym. The weight came off, and is still coming off, but a pleasant side effect was being able to get and stay hard more easily, and sex presents no issues now. Having good overall circulation will allow you to get and stay hard much more easily for jelqing.
Stretches and warmups: I hate doing a warmup. I used to try and substitute various things for it, such as doing PE after showering, stretching, getting myself hard and staying hard for a time etc. Well this time I decided I was going to approach things properly. There seems to be no substitute for the direct application of heat. My penis definitely seems more malleable now that I am not ignoring the warmup.
Stretching, even light stretching. is important in my opinion. First the heat makes the penis elastic and pliable. Then the stretching in combination with the heat helps to lengthen the penis and keep it that way in preparation for the jelq.
Jelq: The warmup, stretching, and better circulation seem to make for an overall easier jelq. I don’t seem to have to squeeze as hard to feel like I’m forcing blood forward, and my penis doesn’t have to be as hard for me to feel like I’m getting a proper jelq effect due to the better circulation and heated tissue. It also seems to be longer during the jelq, giving more length to work with (could also be hidden penis due to fat, but I feel like it didn’t seem this long before, and I am around my old weight right now).
Summary: Circulation is VERY important. Don’t skip the warmup. Stretches seem to be beneficial, even if you aren’t going for length.
