A B CSomeone asked me in a PM what insights and wisdom I could share from years on this forum. It’s not a carefully crafted response, it’s just thrown at the page, but for anyone who might benefit, this was my response:

It would be easy to boil it down to a few simple (if slightly cryptic) statements and as I’m still short of time the first things that come to mind are doubtlessly the most important/oft said:

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead or not at all for others.

You have to be consistent. X number of days a week, no sporadic week on week off, taking long breaks etc., unless you are injured or on holiday. Don’t be afraid of taking time off, but don’t do it out of laziness!

Every routine should include some jelqing for penis health. It stretches the tunica layers in both directions, helps fluid exchange between tissue layers, brings fresh oxygenated blood into the penis etc.

There are only 2 variables in PE: loading/force/resistance/vacuum etc. AND time. You need to use ‘enough’ of the former, but time i.e. length of PE sessions, is more important than the force used. Longer, lighter sessions work; short intense sessions toughen up the tissues to loading and bring gains to a halt, making it harder to gain from anything in the future (don’t forget tissue memory - even after a long lay-off tissues that have been over ‘toughened’ in the past will gain strength, not length quickly again!). Clamping too early in your PE ‘career’ is the worst contributor to this, as is stretching too hard or erect jelqing, especially without heat.

In a fully erect penis the tunica layers are ‘locked up’ and require a great deal of force to be moved further. In a slightly less erect penis the tunica layers will ‘give’ more easily.

Having one or 2 sessions a week when you have lots of time and can do a fairly intensive session and push your penis to ‘new heights’, followed by gentler recovery sessions the rest of the week that just take your penis to full expansion (e.g. jelqing, edging) without forcing it, are much better than over or under-working your penis every day.

‘Recovery days’ don’t necessarily mean no PE, but you need at least one or 2 days a week of proper rest to avoid injuries creeping up on you.

Every routine should include firegoat rolls, unless you like a darker coloured penis….

Rome wasn’t built in a day. There are no magic methods or perfect routines.

The ideal penis size for a varied sex life (good blowjobs, different positions, grinding, pounding, anal if you like it etc.) is 7.6” BPEL x 5.6” Mid Girth. People who have a wife can adjust it to suit her. People who just jack off to porn can go for any size they want :)

Those are the first things that come to mind. If I had more time I’d have probably worded them better, or added lots of other stuff, but those are the basics.

What is doing PE right? Getting the proper stimulation to recovery ratio. The other critical factor is: if you get vastly improved EQ, your chances of growth are far better! (cit. sparkyx) Warning! If you haven't gotten improved erections:

I would add one thing if I can; for beginners and intermediates (from 0 to 1 year of consistent PE) recommend reading some old threads.

But not the one like this (for example): Which is the best exercise for girth? How much can I gain in three months?

This forum is full of really interesting threads, more than ten years of experience.

By the title of the post and by the number of answers we can guess. Because PE is not only jelq, stretch, clamp etc.

This is the wealth of this forum. And all this information are free.

All just in my opinion.

Just strap yourself in for at least a year, you may not gain for months and have to figure out what’s good for your body which is a discouraging process sometimes when you can’t find the good routine. Just focus on consistency and live life and you’ll gain.

But I’m a newbie, and you too, also if I have at least twenty years older than you; we know that our routine is the newbie routine, so I have no trouble.

Also because I read in this thread: Rome wasn’t built in a day. There are no magic methods or perfect routines.

And I belive it.

I mean don’t come into this and say 3 months I’ll gain because not all guys do. Like don’t overestimate PE and think it’ll be like a month and you’ll be a new man. Just be patient and stick with it and you’ll gain.

Stefano and Narukami, I think you are both saying the same thing, just slightly misunderstanding each other. :)

Slamosaurus, really there is no easy way to tell if you are making your penis tissues tougher, but if you start PE following a sensible newbie routine and gain a bit, then get really enthusiastic and start pulling hard and doing high erection level jelqs or any more advanced exercises, and your gains grind to a sudden halt, then you have probably toughened it.

That’s exactly what I did to start with: I started clamping, thinking I could get some quick girth, but ended up turning my dick into a piece of steel. I took quite a long deconditioning break (a few months) and started again, but my penis ‘remembered’ what I’d put it through before and toughened up again really fast in expectation of more of the same - so I got brief gains followed by nothing.

I took a full year off to decondition, then started really gently and slowly and got relatively progressive small steady gains (PE is not a linear process). Basically, I wasted the best part of 18 months just because I rushed into clamping too soon. I think a lot of people try to do the same, but never take a really long deconditioning break then start again gently, so they end up thinking PE isn’t going to work for them - but all they have done is make their penis tissues too resistant to any ‘normal’ level PE.
It’s a bit like hanging a 5kg weight on a 10kg fishing line - the line can easily hold the weight without feeling any strain at all. Clamping/heavy hanging etc. are a last resort for when your penis has already become heavily conditioned and nothing else can provide that level of force, but eventually your penis just gets so accustomed to those levels of force that it will no longer respond to them, and you are forced to take a long deconditioning break, then re-start PE basically from scratch.

I loved clamping, but I don’t do it any more - it is a quick route to tissue toughening, discolouration, and almost all my injuries came from clamping - when you push clamping hard your penis is nine-tenths broken so the risk of injury is very high, and there is no warning.

The best way to avoid toughening is to keep the ‘force’ fairly light, whatever PE you are doing, and extend the time. As I said in the opening post, the loading has to be sufficient but not more than that; it saves time in the long run to start gently and see if you are getting gains, If you are not, then increase the time (to maybe 30 or 40 mins+) and if you are still not getting gains, only then should you increase the loading/jelq force/vacuum etc.

Thanks for this link. Very great advice here. What kind of heating routine do you recommend? Right now after jelqing I put a warm sock over my package and swing it between my cheeks then have it rest super close to my body for about an hour. I know thats probably the most ghetto technique out there lol.

The basic recommendations are in the first thread everyone should read: Newbie Penis Enlargement Routine
My favourite methods are either a microwaveable gel pack (hot/cold pack that you should be able to get from any sizeable drugstore/chemist for muscle/tendon/ligament injuries) or an Infrared lamp. Use it before PE until your penis is heated all the way through (if using a gel pack, put some thin material like a tea-towel or T shirt material between the pack and your penis to avoid burns!). Re heat during PE as necessary, and if you like, use it for 5 mins after you finish. An IR lamp can be used the same way, or you can use it throughout the routine.

Practice using the ‘Advanced Search’ (link in my signature line on how to use it) and looking for posts I’ve made on using an IR lamp for more information, if you want to go the IR route.
