Answer this for me...

I’ve been measuring with a tape measure, but I decided to switch it up. I switched to a ruler…after I had the argument with the guy online. If anyone read that. To make this quick, the ruler, is showing I’m shorter NBPEL whereas the tape measure, is showing I’m larger.

I’ve gone into detail, and even measured the ruler with the tape measure and the lengths are the exact same. I’m confused, and don’t really know what measurement to go by. I mean it’s not by much, but it’s still kinda irritating.

To me, the hard ruler is more accurate. Sorry. :shrug:


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

The only time I use a fabric tape is for measuring my flaccid and girth. I’m with Gprent that the wood or solid ruler does not lie.

For appearance sake the ruler is more accurate.

But if it’s shorter because of a curve, you gotta wonder how much the penis straightens out while having sex. Meaning she may be feeling the full 5.3 anyway, not to mention if you go deep enough she may feel what’s underneath the fat pad too right?

I’d agree with the ruler people, it’s hard (hence straight) I only use a tape measure for girth.

I have an upward curving banana wang but still prefer to measure length with my old wooden ruler.

Rulers are for measuring length, tape measures are for measuring girth.

Ruler on top of dick. I have a left curve, I have somewhat of an upward curve. I straighten those out when I measure, I want to measure penis not air.

Main thing about PE tracking measures - do it the same way every time.

I am really anti-NBPEL measures for tracking PE gains. You are measuring fat, not penis.

Whatever shows me the biggest is what I go with. My favorite is a ruler that starts at 3 inches! ;)

Seriously its like a straight road and a more curving road. If they both start at the same point and end at the same place, the more winding road with show more miles to get there.

The tape bend more toward the surface of the penis and therefore and a bit more “winding”, the ruler is a straight line. Depending on the curve of your penis, it can be a significant difference.

I say just measure from the bottom, starting at the anus! I”M HUGE!!! :)

This might be a first. A question where everyone agrees on what the answer is! :)

Best would be a somewhat flexible ruler or straightening your penis.


STARTING: BPEL: 5.9in EG: 5.0in

2018: BPEL: 6.7in EG: 5.3in

NOW (start 1/2024): BPEL: 6.9in. EG: 5.4in

Are you measuring with a metal tape? If so notice how the metal tip (L shaped) is loose. It’s meant to move based on whether you are pushing it up against something or hooking it on the edge of something. It moves the width of the metal piece to remove that from the measurement when you hook it on something. So don’t pull that out of you measure your willy unless you are hooking it over the glans (don’t think that’s possible)

Well I do have a slight curve…but this isnt a major deal. Haha. That’s why used the tape measure. :) I point downward a bit. I’m using the kinda measurement I used to calculate my biceps and leg muscles.

If you meausere dick while it’s facing down using a tapeM it appears to be longer but if you use a ruler and your dick is facing forward it appear shorter coz the flacid length is not stretched

Sorry I’m a tape measure guy for both. I have a slight curve and I want to get every millimeter out of my measurement. Also, I like to see the definitive end of the head of my dick on the ruler as well. I don’t get anywhere near as much difference as you do between the two though. At most I’m seeing an eighth of an inch difference I’d say. For me it’s just that the tape measure is more comfortable and I can’t do that whole stabbing out more length on my bone pressed measurements. That said, my flaccid measurement will be a lot bigger if i use the tape and let it hang. I don’t record that length, but it’s nice to know what is showing to viewers :) .
