Benefits of Heat in PE

Why don’t we like including links? As a site, we are always trying to improve our ranking by the major search engines. That makes it easier for people to find out about PE from a legitimate source When you bury lots of links in your posts, the search engines downgrade the web ranking of Thunder’s and make it harder to find. So we try to encourage people not to do it, but don’t ban the practice.

As far as I know, there are only two rules re links on Thunders.

1. No live links to porn, hence the hxxp stuff.
2. No advertising products without a commercial account, so even if you do hxxp, still not ok.

When the first ever post from a user is advertising a product, that tends to be a warning sign. Doesn’t always mean that person is trying to shill products, but often that is the case.

Has nothing to do with optimising for search engines, linking out does not hurt search rankings unless you’re linking out to bad neighbourhoods and even then it rarely has any effect.

Bump. I’m close to splurging on something like this (link warning): https://www.ama … /dp/B0032IUI6I/ . Do you think it would be an effective choice (ignoring the price)?
I’m not sure what the mineral therapy thing is, but I heard far IR is good. Also, I’m still paranoid about buying a $10 bulb meant for reptiles if studies are showing that IR can potentially shrink balls and decrease testosterone.

I’ve tried the washcloth and rice sock, and I’m not really a big fan of either. I think the consistent heat would help a lot, but I want to be safe!

Could you post those studies please? Without having seen them, I would guess that the issue is heat getting to the balls as it is not very directable. Immersion in hot water has shown that it can shrink balls and decrease testosterone, no reason to look for any more complicated reasons than that.

If you get or make a shaft wrap around device then whether IR does have these side effects or not, would be moot.

I don’t have any links to studies— I was simply reacting to what was posted earlier in the thread. If it’s mainly heat that’s the issue, then that makes me feel better (because if it were IR, then a basic wrap around the balls wouldn’t have any effect I imagine).

Any thoughts on the lamp itself?

I would just say avoid the balls just in case. I don’t practice PE anymore, but when a link above appeared I sought out an IR wrap (much cheaper than my original I might add) just in case. I have it here but have not used it - Life is so different for me now in the East that I don’t see the reason, but a few dollars back don’t hurt.

When using an IR lamp, does the rest of the body stay cooler than if you were using a space heater? Also, the IR lamp manufacturers seem to recommend no more than 15–20 min. Per session. Are people using them much longer than that?

Why the Smithsonian? Because you could walk around it for a week and not see the whole thing.

You mean don’t see a reason to PE? Explain :/

If you are using a fairly powerful IR lamp and have to have it more than say 16” away from your penis, it is going to be heating a considerably larger area than just your penis. If you are heating your abdomen and thighs, because the heat penetrates much more than ambient heat, you will be heating blood, which flows around your body taking heat with it. It is entirely possible to get heat-stroke from using a powerful IR lamp for too long, which is why manufacturers recommend shorter exposure times. If you are using a lamp that allows you to heat an area only a bit larger than your penis, at a sensible distance, the risks of over-heating your body are small, even if you use if for quite a while. If you start to feel light headed or sick while using a lamp, or any other symptoms of heat-stroke - stop immediately.

Guys, with IR lamps arent you afraid of sterility, because of balls exposed to the heat.

If you read the threads on using an IR lamp, you’ll see that it is always recommended to keep your testicles covered, for example by pulling your pants down only enough to expose your penis and tucking a white towel (reflective of heat) into the waistband to hang down for extra protection.

I use rice sock for heating purpose. I am wondering if I can make use of it during my non PE time just to keep my groin, penis warm and that would have any benefit like healing, recovering, growing? And that would contribute towards overall gains?

Any views?

Uninterrupted heat will keep the local metabolism at a higher pace, flushing more blood when compared to ambient temperature. Improved blood flow is vastly known and used to help on tissue recovery.

Be aware that too much heat causes enzyme denaturation or decrease its function, so if possible, try to keep the temperature under 50°C and make sure to take some breaks, allowing your penis to cooldown.

Thanks Lenny.

Ever since I have read the benefits of ice cold water and cold water in general I do not use heat anymore.
