Hygiene in PE
(Sorry for the machine translation).
Hello again. I always thought that there is an aspect that is necessarily important in PE: hygiene. However, despite the fact that the microorganisms can enter the urinary tract through the urethra and cause infections easily (so-called urinary tract infections), the information about health care is rather scarce in the introductions to our hobby.
I thought we could work with the ideas we have about it. There may be several:
- The hands must be washed thoroughly before making the exercise routine. Emphasis should be placed in the interdigital spaces, thumbs and nails. For that, a good move is to rub the palm of a hand with fingers spread on the back of the other. A nail brush can also help. I found on a Portuguese website a picture of the best and worst areas usually washed that you see attached at the end.
- The towel with which we dry after washing hands or doing the warming (if we use water for it) has to be clean. Other options include disposable paper towels.
- The nails must be well cut to prevent dirt and bacteria that could be introduced through the urethra, and small skin wounds (such as occasional ruptures of capillaries or scratches). Having them cut will also prevent scraping us and we will facilitate the completion of the exercises. We have to avoid gnawed fingernails because they retain dirt more easily by not having a clean cut.
- It is important to clean the instruments and all the materials we use: vacuum pumps, Cable Clamps or other clamps, cords, strips of neoprene, cock rings, oil bottles, cans of powder, gloves, flat surfaces , etc.
- Maintain good hygiene is crucial for people who have circumcised penises and piercings.
- If we have open wounds on our hands we should use band-aids or finger stalls.
- It is not worth to wear bracelets, watches or rings, not only for hygienic reasons but also for safety motives.
- If you sneeze or cough you must try not to do it over the penis. In the event that you have used your hands to avoid expelling saliva, as well as on other occasions in which we get dirty, it is necessary to wash them again thoroughly.
- We should not eat while doing the exercises and should generally manipulate objects only if strictly necessary. We should avoid handling money. If we use the remote control or computer, we can do it by placing a napkin or tissue between the finger and the keys and; at the same time we would not stain the keys.
- The instruments we use for the exercises must be for personal use and not transferable. In the same way, it would be preferable if they were objects used only for the exercises.
